CC Designs March Review…

Today I’m spotlighting the new CC Cutters Balloon die by CC Designs at All That Scraps, HERE. Check out the ATS blog for the other DT gal’s creations!  Always love to go study the DT work! : )  I also used Emma with her wagon (there is a pumpkin in the wagon, I just didn’t ink it up, it’s easy to tap the ink on and miss the pumpkin), she’s in the store HERE.  She is stamped on PaperTrey Ink card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black in, in the store HERE and colored with Copic Sketch Markers, in the store HERE… be sure to get the new colors!  I used a couple of the new colors on Emma and the sky,   BG70 and one on her hair YR30.  I used E50, YR30, 31 21,23 on her hair – Apron BG70, 72 (tip to tip) – dress the B90’s – shoes E43, 44, 47, 49 – skin E000, 00, 01 and diluted R20 for cheeks (R00 refill) – wagon E95, 97, 99, W3, 5, 7, 9, E07, 08, 19, 18 – sidewalk drawn in with a copic multi-liner pen W0, 1, 3, 5 – grass YG93, 95, 97, 99 and BG70 and BG0000 for the sky.   I thought the sky was dark but it dried lighter than I thought it would!  Wish you could see it IRL,  it came out cool.  The number 8 is a Quickutz die from the Diesel alphabet set.

It’s hard to see but I drew in white plaid on her apron with a opaque white pen,  in the store HERE.  She is one of my favorite images from CC Designs…glad I don’t have to pick a fave though.. it would be tooooooo HARD!

The My Minds Eye Pattern paper pad that I used is just back in stock at the store HERE and is called “Hattie” … an awesome 6×6 pad,  love it!  Check out the other three from MME too HERE. I find them a bit easier to use than BG…shame on me!  I only have a million of the BG pads to use,  so I must keep on working with them… do you find that though…that some are easier than others???

The sentiment, “SWEET” is from Amy R’s new “It’s Your Birthday” sentiment set, in the store HERE.  I love both of these new sets this month…really easy to finish out the whole card,  outside and in!!!

I used the Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge blog’s sketch for Emma and the spin this time is “sweet”.  No problem with that!  Emma is that and more! lol  The Stamp Something Challenge blog’s theme is “Something Sweet”, that’s our Emma! : )  The Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge blog’s theme is “Die”ing to Punch it out!  I die cut the number eight and the balloons!

I made the rolled flowers from a Stampin Up scallop circle punch.  The three leaves underneath are a Magnolia Doohickey’s die, in the store HERE… yep… love these poinsettia leaves! hahahahaha  I did emboss lines/veins on them,  but hard to see on the dark paper.

I think that’s pretty much all for now… oh,  the card-stock is SU almost navy.. hmmm… that doesn’t sound right,  correct me….I’m always challenged trying to match pattern papers to card-stock… I could be faster if these companies would put on the cover what card-stocks match their papers! hahahahaha… would that be cheating?  oh that would be wonderful! lol

I’ll shut up for now!  Thanks for stopping by and ttul!

A Spring “thing”…

Spring is in the air, flowers everywhere (well, that’s stretching it for Iowa) and a color curve… pastels and a touch of brown.

I used Will you be my Valentine Tilda from the You Are So Special Collection. I don’t think she’s just for Valentines Day, so I’m using her for Spring!  I also used the NEW Vintage Flowers/Leaves dies and the NEW Antique Lace die. I also used the Doohickey’s Swirl die, poinsettia die (leaves under the flowers) and fence die. I added lines on the flowers, the leaves under the flowers and the branch type leaves with copic markers…the same colors for the reds and greens below… I used two colors of Twinery Twine …the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Gertie 6×6 paper pad in the store.

At stamp club last Friday,  Annette challenged us with her program to use embossing folders more often…so guess what…I did it! lol  Thanks Annette!  I embossed and sanded… love this look.

A couple more pictures…

I only used one punch on this card!  Martha Stewart’s grass border punch.  Tilda is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and colored with a combination of Tria, Promarkers and Copic markers…that’s why her face looks different! lol  On her skin I used ivory, blush and sunkissed pink.  Her hair is E50, 31, 33, 35, 37.  Shoes W1, 3, 5.  Flowers and hearts in the bouquet are R21,22,24. Her dress Buttercup, tulip yellow, YR30, 31. Green on the bouquet YG91, 93.

I cut my circles with my coluzzle templates.. I know, oldies but I still use them… I love nestabilities and they would work too.

 Thanks for stopping by!

March is National Craft month too so be sure to celebrate by shopping for stamping supplies!  That justifies it all,  right?! lol  HERE ‘s what’s NEW at All That Scraps!

Flashback…

So here’s the scoop for Flashback Friday Challenge Blog**first card you have posted with a window cut into the front of the card** I found this in my Splitcoast Stampers Gallery,  I made it for Christmas 2007.   yipes,  where does the time go!  I know I got the idea from someone online but I sure don’t remember where now!  If it was you,  THANKS!  I loved the inspiration!  This is not the first card I ever made with a window cut in the front… I’ve been stamping since April of 1994,  so it’s impossible to remember that first one! For me that is!!! lol

HERE is my card in my SCS gallery.  Wish I had a picture of the inside but I can’t find one. figures.

What a fun challenge blog… I love looking back… have a nice day and see you tomorrow!

I’m Your Angel…

I’m Your Angel“, one of Bildmalarna’s new images for Spring at All That Scraps.com, HERE.  It’s feeling like it could be Spring here soon!  Love days like today… around 53˚!  Not to cold and not hot either!  Today was our monthly stamp club meeting and the swap was to create a card with an extra fold,  so I made an easel card  and envelope with my trusty Martha Stewart Score Board, HERE… love that thing!  I do use an embossing stylus instead of the scoring tool that comes with it though.  I just find it works better.

I inked her up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PaperTrey Ink Select White card-stock and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  Skin E000, 00, 01, diluted R20…Hair E50, 51, YR30, 31…Dress, socks, flower R0000, 81…leaves G20, 40…wings YR30, 31,  didn’t realize I left such a definite outline next to her sleeve.. oops! lol

Fun to work with pastel colors and this new cutie!  The papers are from an old 6×6 pack from Memory Box. The tulip border is a punch from Martha Stewart, HERE,  that I punched and then clipped and formed to fit around the Nestabilities scallop oval…the nestabilities ovals are in the store HERE. I wanted the green scallop to look like grass!  I’m gonna try it again with darker tulips next time!  Finally used my Martha Stewart Vintage Lace border punch too… and Martha’s grass border and butterfly punches too!  A punchy card! ugh!  The sentiment and floral border stamps are from Printworks.  The floral chorus line stamp is HERE and the sentiment is HERE.  Awesome Printworks goodness!

Some Spring Challenges out there I’m linking up to… one here… the Crop Stop Challenge BlogStampin’ For the Weekend Challenge Blog is Spring. On the Charisma Cards Challenge Blog the theme is Easel cards.

Hope I didn’t forget anything… just holler if I did!  Have a great weekend and thanks for visiting my blog!
