I used a variety of Scrapbook Adhesives/3L products… I’ve used their products for years and love the quality!  When Laura told us we were hopping with them,  I was so excited!  You can’t go wrong with their adhesives!  I used my Perfect Layers Tools (link and code to save in the sidebar and below) to mat the Memory Box Debutante Frame…Memory Box pattern paper and card-stock for the A-6 size card.

_MG_7514-001

Anything Goes is the new challenge this week at Tilda’s Town Challenges  Easy week to ink up your Magnolia stamps and get creating!  We’d love to have you link up!

I used Tilda with Kite… inked her with Ranger Archival black ink, then stamped her on Canson Montval, Cold Press, 140 lb. watercolor paper and colored her with Distress Ink Markers (watercolor style).

_MG_7512

I used a NEW die from Memory Box, Cottage in the Woods (added an extra tree in the foreground),  Magnolia, DooHickeys Heart Swirl and Clover and Flower dies.  I use the omnigrid ruler to measure down for placing the focal image and the Perfect Layers Ruler for the 1/16th mat for Tilda.  An EK Success scallop border punch, love the mini size of it…  The birthday wishes circle is an old Inkadinkado stamp.

Stamps and supplies I used for this card…

it’s a 3 card kind of day!

_MG_6801

I was inspired to use some alphabet dies when I saw a card on Papertrey ink’s blog!   I used some Crate paper from a 6×6 pad,  a couple old Hero Arts sentiments, an EK Success border punch and an even older diamond punch to make the banner for a ‘scrappy looking kind of card’!

_MG_6804

It’s a birthday card challenge for you!  Use some ‘old and older’ stuff! lol  Oh, and my tiny attacher was working that day, so I have a staple! yea! lol  The background numbers stamp is one of those wheel stamps.  I unmount them and use them as a flat stamp… multiple stamping to get the all over background, using the stamp a ma jig for placement.

Pink is harder than red to capture in a photograph!  eek!  oh well,  Here’s a cute card for the scooter rider of the family!  Lots of fun stamps from Printworks Collection here… the fishtail banner pulls out and says….

_MG_6745

Howie’s Ride J4300, Toy Racer C4295,  Rough Rider B4290, Who Says? F4304, E4298 1..2..3..,  Eat Cake A4299,   On Your Mark D4123

Printworks has ‘thee’ best Birthday sentiments!!!  This is a non-opening card, for lack of a better way to put it at the moment!  : ) I didn’t tape the right side down so the fishtail banner could pull in and out. The stitching across the top is a Fiskars border punch.  I used banner dies for the words and a circle punch.

More fun stamps from Printworks Collection for Spring! I love this primitive wheelbarrow and it is fun to color and goes so well with all of Annette’s images and sentiments!  I attempted watercoloring again on the scooter card and this one, with Caran d’Ache watercolor crayons on cold press watercolor paper.  Perfect Layers Tools for matting the image… link in the sidebar.

Memory Box and Poppystamps cards…

_MG_6318

Finally…. I’m creating with some of my Memory Box/Poppystamps dies and stamps!  YEA!  I loved this Mercer Rose Wreath stamp and die when they came out!  I got them right away and am just now using them!  How often I am like this… I have to HAVE something but it doesn’t always get used for awhile.  It’s almost like it’s enough just to own it! : )   I bet you do it too! lol

_MG_6312

It felt good to get back in the creating ‘groove’ this week!   I used several Memory Box and Poppystamp dies and two stamps… I’ll link to the supplies below.  The happy bee-day sentiment has the bee stamp on the end B1764.  I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Sketch markers.  The pattern paper I used is from a set by Memory Box called Homespun Collection… a great collection of double sided card-stock, 6×6 size. (it’s an old collection…might be hard to find but if you do, you’ll love it!)

The sentiment is stamped on a Memory Box Primo label die cut.  I used a Bazzill 1/16th inch brad and button hole thread to hang the wreath. (it’s a die from one of their first releases…might be hard to find… sorry)

_MG_6315-001

I stamped the wreath on PTI select white card-stock with Memento Bamboo green ink.  Then I used water-base markers and colored the roses… it wipes off the green and colors the rose…then I clean the green off the marker by scribbling on a piece of scrap paper.

I used the Perfect Layers Tools to mat my image and to cut the card base… they’re awesome! : )

Scroll down a post to see the video of all the new Memory Box/Poppystamps die!

This card is in the Weekly Favorites at SCS this week!  So honored to be there and Thank YOU so much Susie!

Here’s a THANKS card that I made to link up to some CAS challenges.  I’m so happy to say that I’m using this new Pine Needle Border die from Memory Box already!!!  I’ve only had it two weeks!  woohoo! lol

_MG_6332-002

The pinecone is a Printworks Collection stamp, B2283, that I stamped on kraft card-stock with Ranger Coffee Archival ink and cut out by hand (not hard at all).  The rectangle is one of the dies from the long rectangle Nestabilities set but I did have to adjust it to make it fit my card… cut it once… then laid it inside the die again to shorten the long side… then I embossed it by hand with my embossing stylus… I show how to do it in this video HERE.

The thanks die is from an old Cuttlebug alphabet set called Olivia….I googled and found the set HERE.

I stamped the Hero Arts envelope background stamp with Walnut Stain Distress ink on kraft and aged the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

The card ended up 9 inches long and 4 inches high.

I’m linking my thanks Pine Needle card to the following challenges…

TLC413 Splitcoast Stampers – Focus on the Dies

THANKS so much for stopping by!  I’m wondering how it got to be the 24th of January already!  waaah!  Hope you’ve had a good 2013 so far!  Take care and I’ll be back tomorrow with a Tilda card!
