Memory Box Pinecone and Berries 3D Embossing Folder Merry Christmas Wave Card…

Hi everyone! Time to get really serious about getting Christmas cards made and ready to mail!  Preaching to myself for sure! lol

I was excited to use one of the NEW Memory Box 3D Embossing Folders for my card today.

I started out by inking the side,  flat area up, with Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink and then running it through the die cutting machine.

I used Canson Montval cold press watercolor paper.  I buy the BIG sheet from Hobby Lobby and then just cut a piece off of it when I need it.  I leave it out, in the way, so I remember to use it.  It’s my favorite watercolor paper.  The price is right too!  $3.29 for the piece… if I cut it up into 9×12, if I’m remembering right, you get 8 pieces!

I spritz one side of the paper very lightly before I put it in the inked up folder.

Then using regular distress ink and the mini ink blending tool, I went over the raised areas with Pine Needles on the pine, Peeled Paint on the leafy branches and Gathered Twigs on the pinecones.

I really like the look of this but it’s so much better in real life than a photo!

I die cut the NEW Drifting Snowflakes die and just used the flakes on my card.  I used the 3 sizes of dots it cuts out too.  I spattered with white ink but it didn’t show up very well.

I die cut the NEW Merry Christmas Wave in kraft and red cardstocks.  Another easy one to put together! I used scor-tape on the back so I could just lay the letters back in and they fit perfectly…EASY!  Love it!

A little bit of twine wrapped around the panel.  This ended up A6 size….a little extra! lol

I layered on red cardstock and then to a white cardbase.

For the inside I used a sentiment from the NEW Holiday Wishes stamp set.  If you only wanted one set with sentiments for the outside and the inside… here it is!

Linking to some challenges…

Can You Handle the Pressure? – anything goes with an embossing folder

Peace On Earth Christmas – anything goes Christmas

Word Power #9 – Sentiment/words as the focus

Merry Little Christmas #58 – anything Christmas goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday  – anything goes

Now back to thinking….what’s next!  Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!  Holler if you have any questions.  I know I forget stuff!

Check out STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp!  Today is a super cute set from Pink and Main!  The collaboration sets started Tuesday and there’s still some left of most.

  1. What a cute card! I need to get started on my Christmas cards! I have two more September, three October and two November birthday cards to get made and then onto my Christmas cards! Hopefully I will get started before the end of the month! Not sure if I will have time for Halloween cards this year! LOL! Time goes so fast!

  2. I love the look of this, Pam! All that wonderful warmth and color. I cannot make the SSS site work on my laptop. It’s soooooo slow. But I did go to Cindy’s and get a bunch of Memory Box Christmas stuff I needed like a hole in the head, sheesh. You know how it goes. I love it! Thanks for inspiring with your gorgeous works of art!

  3. Love this with the vintage vibe – love how you beautified the embossed effect of the folder Pam!! Loving that twine too!!

  4. Oh Pam, this is just GORGEOUS! Very ‘old world’ rich coloring! Don’t you just love the effect from these 3D folders? Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Can You Handle the Pressure, Peace on Earth and Word Power challenges! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
