Memory Box NEW Cheerful Floral Collection Card…

Hello Friday!  Here lately you don’t have to worry about me filling up your email inbox!   I do have NEW to show you though!

A beautiful collection that I really enjoyed working with…NEW from Memory Box.  You knew already, right?! lol

You can stamp your image and then die cut or die cut then stamp on the die cut.

I cut the shape first then stamped on it in the MISTI.

Then the fun begins!  There is a stencil set to use for coloring!!!!!  For the pinks I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry Oxide Inks, then an old Versacolor pigment cube for the darkest… Rose Red #23.

Greens were a trio of Bazzill Dye inks but I had a new set of Altenew I could’ve used laying right there on my desk! ugh.  I will link to them.

The light blue was Speckled Egg, Savage Patina and the brush for Peacock Feathers without inking it. All oxides.

For the yellow flower I used Antique Linen, Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber oxide and the brown oxide brush for the center without reinking it.

I am really happy with how it turned out…you know how it is…at several points during the process I was thinking this is not going to work! lol

So after I finished stenciling it I put it in the NEW 3D Cheerful Floral 3D embossing folder!  oh wow!  That just added so much!   I taped it in place in the folder.  It shifted a little so next time I’m thinking maybe just go half way, stop and run it through from the opposite end half way.

I used the Memory Box Rectangle Double Border Hot Foil Plate for the base panel…started with 4 ½ in x 6 ¼ in panel but ended up trimming the top and bottom.  It will still fit in an A6 envelope.

I think it’s nice to have a bigger than A2 size for super special cards sometimes!  Let’s go Hallmark! lol

I used some ribbon from Stampin Up from who knows how many years ago and the sentiment from Birch Press Design Celebrate Today Noted Script hot foil plate and die set in gold foil.

I mounted the floral piece with some of the thin mounting tape I love!  then the ribbon, then the sentiment mounted with the same thin mounting tape.  It should still travel for one stamp!

Holler if you have any questions!  I’m going to link up what I used below.  If you’re tempted to get this collection, I say go for it!  You’ll have fun and end up with beautiful cards without all the time coloring!  Win! Win!

Yesterday we found out the Chamber of Commerce here used a picture of them on the cover of their new Face of Mahaska County magazine!  How fun is that!  We’re so happy for them! ❤

Ok – I’ll stop talking and get that list made below.

  1. What a gorgeous card! I can’t tell that it shifted, it looks great! I love it when they have a die and matching stencil. I do a lot of coloring, but once in awhile I like to have something simplier! Congratulations on your grandson’s marriage! I know that will be a very special day for you and your family.

  2. Very pretty card Pam. I don’t know why I can’t comment where everybody else does but it just won’t let me. Probably this antique phone again. I do have a question on that double plate for the card front …you said something about hot foil -do you have to use hot foil? is that dye cut for those two panel sizes? If that makes any sense.

  3. You’d have to look very hard to find any trouble spots. It’s beautiful, Pam! I love your colors and the simple framing of the image. Hooray for finding a dress! I have the hardest time shopping for clothes. Craft items are another thing altogether, ha — easy! The picture of the kids on the magazine cover is so cute! Who needs high paid models when real life is so perfect? They look very happy!

  4. That is such a great photo of them!! Love this Pam – love the coloring and the layers and love that gold foil sentiment too!!!

  5. Congratulations to the family on the upcoming wedding and how cool that they are on the cover of the magazine! I hope you have wonderful weather! I always think your last card was your best and then you post again, Pam, and you outdo yourself! This one is remarkable! So much so that I went off and bought all the things and I hope you got notice of that. I don’t remember ordering from Starlit Studio before, but I have now. So thank you for the enabling and for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

  6. Absolutely gorgeous card, the new stamps with matching stencils, dies and/or embossing folders is one of my favorite addictions right now and your card is beautifully done! Congrats to your grandson too, they look like a very happy couple and I wish the best to them!

  8. Dear Santa, I want it all!!! Oh my gosh, Pam! This jumped out and grabbed me! I want the stamp, die, and stencil! What a gorgeous card! I’m back from yet another adventure. We sailed through the Panama Canal – what an incredible thing to see! No travels planned now, until June, so I’ll be stalking your blog for inspiration! Hugs…
