Memory Box Bountiful Wreath and Knotted Diamond Background Card…

Hello! I’m still working away here! Maybe if I had an elf suit I’d be faster! hoho  I decided to bring out Dave’s napkin watercolor technique again and try out the new Distress Ink color.  I used the regular ink refill for painting this one.  I spritzed the napkin die cut first, then brushed in some color with a wet brush.  It was pretty strong full strength so I put a Brawny paper towel over the top to soak up some of the ink.  I wished I’d used a piece of watercolor paper because I loved the print I got!  So another way to use a die cut for a stamp! 😀  Who knew?!

What a gorgeous green!   This new color is Rustic Wilderness.

The ribbon is from my stash…the plaid is Memory Box Christmas Plaid 6×6 paper pad… beautiful patterns!

The new Knotted Diamond Background die is cut in gold metallic cardstock.

The sentiment is from the Memory Box Spirit of Christmas stamp set… love this one…fabulous sentiments and beautiful images to color!

I’m not going to panic…my cards are going to be late this year.  I ordered postage stamps online Nov. 30.  They finally shipped Dec. 9 from Kansas City, four hours from here.  They made it to Des Moines but they sent them to another town an hour away from me!  :O  They sat there a couple days, then were sent back to Des Moines where they’ve sat for who knows how many days it will be.  Des Moines is an hour away.  Lesson learned.  Just go to the PO and buy whatever they have in JULY!!!  I’m annoyed.. I have another USPS story too.  I bet we all have one or two! ugh

Thank you for stopping by!

  1. Hi Pam, Hope you are doing well. I think of you often. Just want to comment on your beautiful cards you share with us. I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed 2021.

  2. I always forget about using that technique. The results are stunning. Love the plaid background with the gold frame.

  3. Beautiful wreath and background. I completely understand about the post office. Still waiting for a gift that I ordered in November. My friend may get it after Christmas. It’s such a crazy year! Merry Christmas!

  4. Lovely card as always I think I am done with Christmas cards for this year, but you never know what comes up. It has been cold here the last few days but no snow. We will have a quiet Christmas here. Wishing you and your family all the best this Christmas.

  5. This is gorgeous, Pam! I just got the new green ink, and it’s SO pretty! Soy I’ve been MIA. Stan was in hospital last Friday for 5 days. We both have Covid. No fun, but he’s very sick, and I’m doing ok. Hugs…

  6. Beautiful, all your elements are perfection when together!
Hint – later the paper towel can be spritzed and placed on cs, then run it through your cutting machine — I’ve seen others do this and it works fabulous for backgrounds or an artsy image.

  7. Always so beautiful. I love that technique! Haven’t had enough time to do all I wanted-but I was happy to get a few Christmas cards done!! No pressure here to perform much for Christmas this year. Having our kids so far away-we don’t get to do a lot of special things-but we make up for it when we do get to see them!! I face-timed for over an hour with our youngest grand daughter (7) last night. These kids can do all that stuff without a thought!! Hoping you can have the best possible Christmas this year. You are in my thoughts so much! I know you are a source of strength for your family and you will help them all to enjoy as much as they can!! Merry Christmas!!

  8. Love these rich colors on this beautiful card!! Merry Christmas dear friend to you and your gang!! Looking forward to our clubs getting together in coming year!!!

  9. Oh Pam what a cute card! I am going to have to try that technique! I keep saying I will….I will sometime! LOL! Oh, you don’t even want to hear my stories about the USPS! Nothing I mailed this year was delivered when it was supposed to! Not one thing! Following the route packages take us unreal! No wonder the PO is losing money! Something shipped to us on 12/17 from Tampa (2 hours straight East) still has not been delivered! UPS is not much better! I ordered something on 11/28 and it is still note here! They haven’t updated the information either. I called the company I ordered it from and they are sending a duplicate order….but not getting here until 1/5/21! Ugh! I think I will mail everything next year in October! They might make it by Christmas! LOL!

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
