Two Cards With poppystamps Stained Glass Poinsettia Die…

Hi everyone!  Whew, I’m slow editing pictures and getting a post written! I had these two cards made before Breanna passed away.  Thank you all so much for your kind comments, cards and emails.  Your expressions of sympathy and prayers mean so much!  I had no idea and I wish I still had no idea!  It still doesn’t feel real or believable. The sorrow comes in waves and at times it feels like my heart is being squeezed. All I know to do is carry on…love harder, appreciate more and be thankful to God for the time we do have together!

I had fun using this new poppystamps Stained Glass Poinsettia die two ways.  This card is the die cut four times.  One time I made sure the pieces stayed intact and colored the flower petals and rays with Copic Sketch Markers. Then I glued the other three frames on top and filled them with Ranger Glossy Accents.  Very fun!  My fingers got a little tired of squeezing the little bottle.  I couldn’t find my big bottle. lol

I stamped a background panel with one of the stamps from the new poppystamps Joyous Christmas Wishes sentiment set.  I really ❤ this set.

Then the JOY oval is from the new Memory Box stamp set and die set Spirit of Christmas.  Another fabulous set for images to color and sentiments!

Both cards are A2 size.

This one I used the new Holiday Glitter 6×6 cardstock pad and the new Christmas Plaid 6×6 paper pad.

I die cut the new Stained Glass Pinsettia die in metallic gold cardstock, covered the back with scor-tape, then pieced in the petals and rays that I cut in the glitter pad cardstocks.

Memory Box Merry Christmas Noted Script die for the sentiment on this one.  I die cut it twice and glued together.  I didn’t want it to be too thick.

I die cut the poppystamps Pointed Rectangle Frames in metallic gold to frame the front.

I have a package of these gold ‘things’, like 3 sizes in the pack.  I used one for the center of the poinsettia.  I think either of the gold cardstocks would work too.  I almost left it red!

That’s it for me today… let me know if you have any questions.  My brain feels cobweb – y!

I have felt your ❤ felt prayers and appreciate it so much!

  1. So sorry to hear of the passing of your daughter.
My mom passed away when I was 8 (I am now 70) and I have missed not having her in my life growing up, You are right – you have to treasure every day.

  2. Dear Pam,
I was so very sorry to hear the sad news about your daughter. I cannot imagine how you must be feeling. But please know you are in my thoughts & I’m sending you lots of love & hugs.
    Take care & God bless,

    Liz xxx

  3. These are absolutely beautiful Pam! I just love the colors in the first one and the text background really adds a lot! So perfect! I know how the waves come. I’m still having them too. I’ve been thinking about you a lot ((Hugs my friend))

  4. You have been in my thoughts so much these last couple of weeks. So hard to understand-but everyone says “God only takes the best!” I have had several losses in my family too-but not a child. I can’t imagine how heavy your heart must be. Sending prayers for your strength and support of your family during this time! Take good care of yourself too!!!

  5. These cards are great Pam! I wondered how you got that “stained glass” look on the first card. Thanks for sharing your technique. Both cards are great….as usual, I haven’t started my Christmas cards yet! Yikes! Hugs to you and your family!

  6. Utterly gorgeous, Pam! LOVE the technique on the first and the gold/plaid combo on the second. I bought that paper pad. Could not resist. The pain of your loss can drop you at times. I understand how carrying on is the only way. Hugs.

  7. Gorgeous! Love all that gold!

Think of you all so much. I know that God will never leave you or forsake you, He said so in His word. Sweet peace, my friend. ❤️

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
