Birch Press Design Snowflake Card Series Day Five…

Welcome back to Day Five of my 2019 Snowflake Card Series!  Today we’re going homespun with this look! Joy pretty much sums it up for me! I love this big splash of ‘snow’ in the center of my card! 😀

I die cut all three layers of the Birch Press Design Glitz Snowflake dies and glued them together.  It’s not hard to line them up at all!

I didn’t use any mounting tape, everything just glued or taped. yay!  Easy to mail!  This is an A2 size card but I would use an A6 size envelope, same cost to mail but that gives you room for the little bow at the top!

I stamped and heat embossed the words ‘to the world’ with white embossing powder on Taylored Expressions Oreo cardstock.  You have to be picky about black cardstock for embossing. Some brands just don’t work well.

A band of TE Cherry Pop across the center…the Big Joy Sugar Script die cut in TE Oreo and Toffee and start gluing.

The pattern paper is from my stash but there are stamps that stamp a similar pattern!  In fact I think there is one from poppystamps! I wish I’d thought of that while I was making! I’ll link it up. I linked to another buffalo plaid paper too.

I inked up all the paper edges and die cuts with Distress Ink Gathered Twigs and the mini Ink Blending tool.  I like the mini foam for edges when I don’t want a lot of ink everywhere.  So don’t toss those minis just because you bought the brushes!  😀

A fun card and really pretty much clean and simple.  A little May Arts jute tied around the top and tada!

Two more days to go!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog all week and I hope you will make it back for the next two days! It’s been so fun to share and to hear from you too! I’m smiling as I type this!  ❤

  1. OMG, I love this card. You have such talent for putting the perfect combinations together. Amazing. I love that your design style is what I gravitate to….so much inspiration. Thanks!

  2. I love this combo. The paper and the dies are perfect. You always amaze me. But I have seen you in action and know that your creativity is boundless! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Yes, yes, yes!!! You had me at Kraft. THEN you added the checks, and of course the black, red, and white combo….LOVE this!!! You have such a talent for doing so much with so little! Thanks for sharing and inspiring me – I’m going to get off the computer now and create! Well…maybe not now, but soon!

  4. Oh I definitely love the homespun look! The plaid background really makes the snowflake stand out!! Love!!!

  5. This is beautiful and such a great Christmas card – loving the farmhouse homespun look! I’m hunting cloth napkins like your checked paper!! lol!!

  6. I love the homespun look and one big, beautiful snowflake! I still use my mini ink blending tool even though I bought some brushes. They both have their preferred applications.

  7. That layered snowflake is beautiful! The red strip adds a lot to the card. And you are right about black CS and embossing.

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
