Addicted To CAS Challenge – One Layer Card…

I’m so excited to be a guest designer over on the Addicted to CAS Challenge blog today! I love CAS, coloring and dies so I really enjoyed this! Thank you for having me ladies!

The challenge this week is One Layer!  I hope you’ll join us!

I decided to make a one layer die cut inlay card using My Favorite Things Beach Scene Builder Die-namics set and Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies.  All the pieces are cut from an A2 size white card-stock panel, inked with Distress ink and the ink blending tools, fit together like a puzzle, taped together on the back and adhered to an A2 card base.

I did go back in with Distress Markers to accent the embossed lines of the Palm Tree die cut.

The sentiment is from Printworks Collection E4730 Escape the Ordinary.  If you love beach images…you have to see what all PW has…lots of fun images and sentiments.  Check out the releases HERE.

The cutie little crab is from Lawn Fawn Palm Trees die set. I die cut two and glued them together at the very tip of it’s claws.  Pretty cute little photo prop! hehe

  1. OH that turned out cute!! I love all the ink blending you did and the inlaid technique is perfect! I need to remember that for one layer cards! Now that cute little crab down there just needs to jump on onto that card! heheh!

  2. I tell ya, I had to go look again! Love those dies, but it’s how you use them that makes them so special. And the crab!! That is just too fun that you put him there in the photo. Your playful nature is showing. Guess that’s why I love coming here. Oh, and congrats on your guest spot!

  3. Hi Pam! This is such a fabulous card and perfect for our theme! Beautiful ink blending and brilliant idea to use inlaid die cutting for the elements on this card!

  4. Wow! Such a spectacular card, Pam! You’ve done a fantastic job with the distress inks and the beautiful beach layout – absolutely loved it!!

  5. Love it Pam…Ok…have to get mine out and whip up something…I like the simplicity of this…do wish I could use the little pirate and mermaid…both so cute.

  6. Hi Pam. what a great summer card, really would like to sit at this lovely beach on hopefully a desert island, just me and all my things in my studio. Great inspiration.

Thank you very much for joining us at the Stempelgarten Challenge.

    Hugs and good luck
    Claudia

  7. Terrific one layer card using the inlaid dies…now why had I never thought of that! Thanks for the idea and thanks for being our guest designer at Addicted to CAS.

  8. Hi Pam,

What a relaxing and soothing card – looks so hand created, like a painting. Your sentiment is perfect! Happy end of summer.
