3 Memory Box/poppystamps cards to share today…

Hello and happy to welcome you back to my blog! I had fun using some Distress Oxide inks again… all the rage these days!  Don’t you love new stuff?! I sure do! lol

Here I’ve die cut the Grassland Collage die in a white Memory Box notecard panel that I die cut with the largest Rectangle Basics die… I love using that die because I love the rounded over edges!   I kept all the pieces and inked them up with Distress Oxide ink pads… yes you need them.  I don’t have the browns yet but I think I’ll get Vintage Photo at least.  I had to use Cracked Pistachio for the grass but I didn’t think it was grass enough looking so I blended on regular Peeled Paint Distress ink over the top and it worked great! yay

Then added water speckling to the pieces before I pieced them into the card…

I stamped the ‘thinking of you’ sentiment from the So Many Things to Love stamp set.

I die cut the Adelaide Stem die from white card-stock and adhered it just in the centers so the flower heads would bend up a little.

I really like this card… always love it when I’m happy with a card after pictures! lol

Thank you so much for choosing my card as a TOP ADDICT!  You made my day!

Next up…

There’s that pretty Cracked Pistachio and Broken China blend again… hehe  That pop of white against those colors….scream Summer!

Here I die cut the Tall Fern Left and Tall Fern Right Corner dies in white and glued them on over the blended and Sprinkle Dots stenciled background.  I did go in with the white Signo Gel pen and add white dots too.

I die cut the Powell Butterfly die in white card-stock and the Corden Butterfly in vellum. The butterfly body is from another butterfly set.  I’m sure you have as many butterfly body dies as I do! lol  Holler if you need me to look it up.

The sentiment is from the Friends and Flowers stamp set. I need to do some more with this set…really pretty flowers.  That little stitched panel was just laying on my desk!  eek!  Holler if I need to look it up for you!

Next up… a super CAS birthday card.

Here I used the leftover ink from the stencil used on the Tall Fern/Butterfly card above.  Who’d a thunk?!  Weird… sprayed it with water and laid it down on the card-stock and this is what it looked like… I kept it and went with it for this clean and simple card. I like it even though it looks really imperfect.

I die cut the Celebration Balloon Collage die  in a white panel that I die cut with the Cross Stitched Frame Borders die. (this die appears to be discontinued.  I googled and found this site)

After you look at this card, notice the woven piece it’s laying on…our middle daughter is a weaver…she wove that!!!  Her work is amazing.  She is so talented. She used to help me make cards.  I drove her crazy asking her what colors to use together and does this look alright etc.  She left me to make cards on my own years ago (she got married). lol  I’ve managed to survive and keep making cards. lol

OH, back to the card… I used heavy thread for the balloon strings and then that cute little String Ribbon Bow die at the bottom.

The celebrate sentiment is from the Holiday Bunnies stamp set.

I glued on 3 little Pretty Pink Posh 3 mm sequins  just to sparkle it up!

  1. Love these cards, especially using the white in the foreground, with a bit less color. Almost feels like more color!

  2. Gorgeous collection of cards using the dies in white! Love the sentiment…friends are our chosen family…how sweet!!

  3. I really like all the cards. My favorite is the butterfly card with the rich colors and sentiment.

  4. Love them all Pam…especially the Grassland Collage…thinking I had not seen that one…but oh so different with the added flower….great idea…that really made it…and the sun peeking through…good to know other things you can do with the die….just have to be creative…

  5. Three very beautifully crafted cards. Love the blue background and the precision die cut balloons of the last one. Thanks for joining in with AAA Cards 3rd birthday celebrations.

  6. I’m not too shy to say I’ve never been more beautifully mooned, Pam … all this white, the die cuts, and a perfectly imperfect surprise from the sprinkle dots, too! Swoon-worthy, all… xx

  7. All 3 are just amazing Pam. Such beautiful, gorgeous talent!!!
The balloon layout is quite interesting…tying down those threads had to be a tedious job and oh-so-worth-it!!! Imperfect to you; fabulous to me!

  9. Whoa love all three but have to vote number one fav the butterfly. Hope to see them at club!!

  10. Each one – so beautiful!! If I didn’t make cards already these would for sure make me want to!! Loving the vellum under the butterfly – and the white dots in the swirls too!! I can attest to your daughter’s woven delights having bought two from her – and they are my two most favorite things in my closet!! Thank you Pam – always inspiring; always gorgeous!!!

  11. Beautiful, so beautiful! I absolutely loved the first card, but scrolling down to find two more beauties.. I don’t know which one to praise… Love them all!! 🙂

  14. Oh, wow, Pam! These are all so creative! And the woven piece is beautiful! I love the bright white die cuts, the vellum butterfly and how you combine different dies and stamps, especially ones I already have. 😉

  15. Pam, you make so great cards with die cuts! Wow! I am in love with the 1st one. Thank you so much for sharing your card with us at AAA Cards 3rd Birthday Challenge.

  16. Wonderful cards, I just love the background you did on that first one, terrific colors! The ferns are so pretty with the butterfly and love the fun balloons in the oval cutout on the last. Your daughter does amazing work that is lovely, great background for your pictures

  17. I might miss the boat on the oxide inks. I know… tsk tsk me… but just look what you’ve done! Enough awesomeness here for both of us! Fantastic dies and backgrounds with gorgeous combinations. The balloon die background does not look imperfect at all. It looks perfectly great! And, of course, beautiful background there with your daughter’s woven masterpiece. She’s amazing! You survived and came into your own without her. Too bad they discontinued that Cross Stitched Border die. One of my faves and I use it a lot. I have one of the ferns. Used it once, but didn’t care much for the card. Love the die, though, and I totally love what you did with it. Oh, and now I want to get my butterfly dies out again. Huge lots of inspiration here today, Pam!

  18. Hey Pam! Hope all is well – your cards are stunning – I particularly like the last one. I haven’t done anything in so long I am not sure I know how anymore!!! We will be out of town a lot this month and family coming here. Even when I am doing nothing, it seems as if I have too much to do!
    Sandy xx
