poppystamps Weeping Willow three ways…

Pam Sparks Weeping Willow Birthday

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share some cards that I came up with after playing around with the poppystamps Weeping Willow dies.  This first one is using my Embedded dies technique…HERE’S the video for how to do it.

This die has more waste to remove than the die I used in the video but I love how it turns out. My pictures don’t do it justice…rainy day…

Use the release paper from the Scor-tape to hold the cut in the die while you’re removing the little waste pieces…

The next picture is an iPhone photo and before I added the bird but I like how it shows the detail when it’s laying flat.

The happy birthday sentiment is from the Ornamental Butterflies stamp set. A simple but elegant look.

Pam Sparks Weeping Willows Summer

For this Happy Summer card, I used both the poppystamps Weeping Willow dies, the Memory Box Summerville Landscape die  and the sentiment from the poppystamps Flower Patch stamp set.

And the last one for today…

Pam Sparks Weeping Willow Hello

The Weeping Willow die again, the butterflies from the Ornamental Butterflies stamp set and the Fancy Hello die.

The pattern paper is an old Memory Box pattern that isn’t available anymore. Sorry about that. I just thought I’d have a try at using a pattern paper for a change! lol

I’ll add some links below… Happy 4th of July weekend and thanks for taking the time to stop by and look!

p.s. Memory Box and poppystamps Christmas cards coming soon.  Working on cards for classes but I’ll make some to share here too!

  1. Woza! These are all fabulous! I love the simplicity of the design, yet it’s a card that looks like it was very labor intensive! Well done, dear friend – keep the masterpieces coming!!!

  2. All of these are really pretty! The picture taken with your cell is actually excellent. That’s a lovely die & your cards are wonderful!

  3. These are all three gorgeous! And wow on the iPhone photo! It’s amazing! If I have to pick a favorite, I think I like the last one the most! That is really stunning! But I seriously love them all! 🙂

  4. Awesome cards. Love the iPhone card as it really shows the details. I can imagine myself sitting under the tree and just dreaming on a lovely summer day! Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. Love the cards and the video was so helpful….would never have thought to do the “embossing” step…very clever of you. I happen to have the same dies you used in the video and I’m going to practice this process using them….I love those poinsettia dies so much and any way to make using them easier is much appreciated. I do use the wide double adhesive tape as well as the double sided adhesive sheets and Stick It sheets, but recently I’ve been getting re-acquainted with my Xyron machines….I just run my cardstock through the Xyron making sure it’s wide enough for whatever dies I’m going to use, then I die cut it. Guess there’s more than one way to skin a cat…LOL

    Thanks for such great tips….

  6. Pam – these are lovely. And thanks for including the video. It was great review.. Blades up and have a great 4th of July holiday.
