Memory Box and poppystamps…

PamSparksGingerbreadHouseLanternOpen

Gingerbread kisses and Christmas wishes coming to you today from the ladies and gents in my sweet two story house!   Let’s see… where to start!  The actual house is the poppystamps Madison die set.  About half way through creating this, I decided it needed something on top!  So I added the poppystamps Country Fence. Woohoo!  Love it up there!

I aged everything with touches of Walnut Stain Distress ink  and the ink blending tool.  Then the roof and lights have a touch of the new White Wink of Stella Brush marker…awesome markers!!!  So fun!

I used the Memory Box Festive Lights die for the roof line and the poppystamps Sparkling Tree lights die (trimmed) on the Memory Box Bare Sapling die.

The windows just weren’t complete without curtains!  So what to do… the Memory Box mini Scallop Border die, run through the mini quilling crimper… perfect!  Looking for links and I don’t see this die…sorry about that, I didn’t realize it wasn’t available anymore.  I don’t have a link for the crimper either… you can see it here though…it’s very cool.  Hopefully you can find one.

The heart and frame are from the Memory Box Holiday Goodie Border die, the gingerbread ladies and gents are from the Memory Box A Batch of Gingerbread die.  I used the poppystamps small Garden Sprig with the heart on the door and for the bushes.

I scored the card-stock to make it look like siding, with the mini Martha Stewart scoreboard at ⅛ in. increments.  The regular size Martha Stewart scoreboard would work too.

First I used White Enamel Accents from Ranger on the lights.  I really liked the dimension it created but no sparkle.  So I put Frosted Lace stickles over it…that didn’t work…no glittery look…don’t have a clue why!  So when I brushed on the White Wink of Stella glitter marker on the roof, I went ahead and hit the lights a bit too.

That concludes the saga of my Gingerbread house! : )

I’m also posting on the Memory Box blog today!  Might as well make this post go on forever!  NOT! lol

Are you all busy this week or something?!  I know…Thanksgiving is coming too fast!

I had to make something pretty too! This Memory Box Holly Holiday Frame embosses so beautifully!  I used the MB Elyse tree for the branch, the Bright Lanterns for the lantern and candle, the banner from the Mansfield Frame set and part of a poppystamps sentiment stamp, heat embossed in detail gold.

Those are red pearls on the frame…not sure why they aren’t showing up red!  oh well!

  1. I don’t even know what to say Pam. This is just incredible with your little gingerbread family standing at the windows with open arms. Looks like they’re waiting for Grandma & Grandpa to come home for the Holiday …I’m just flabbergasted with all your little dies & interesting ways you’ve embellished the house & the fence on the roof looks like it’s meant to be !!! The other card is wonderful as well. It really looks like metal …Another terrific creation !!!

  6. Ok, the house is my favorite ONLY because it has so much detail and I just love the addition of the fence to the top of the house. Only you would do this & it looks like it belongs there! The curtains are so cute & I love all the little gingerbread faces looking out the windows. Awesome card! And the 2nd one too! I’ve been eyeing that frame for a long time & telling myself I didn’t need it. Now look what you have gone and done! it’s gorgeous!
