This birthday card I made using Cute Birgitta and the Mushroom. The sentiments for the front and the inside are from the Amy R sentiment sets, It’s Your Birthday and Best Birthday Wishes.

The punch around the page set I used is called Flower Shower and the pillow stickers are from EK Success.

Super Edwin stepping in for Green Lantern…

It’s been a busy Summer for our family birthday wise! Our youngest daughter and her DH planned a Green Lantern themed party for their son Jace, with a cool invitation and skyscraper table piece she made with the Cricut. I knew this Super Edwin was coming so I’m just now getting a card made for Jace!

The party table with the skyscraper table display… so cool! Awesome creating Breanna and Eric! I love the wires between the buildings!

Back to Edwin…a couple side shots. It’s an Easel card with one mini easel add on in the front. Video Tutorial on how to make an Easel card with one add on HERE. Video Tutorial on how to make an Easel card with two add on’s HERE. Both are short!

A couple pictures from the side…

Super Edwin is NEW in The Winner Takes All Collection from Magnolia. I inked him up with Memento Tuxdeo Black ink, stamped on Beckett Expression Card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch markers. The Skyscraper circle scene is from LaLa Land Crafts… inked with Distress inks, the ink blending tool and a little copic coloring too. Edwin’s cape is colored with a metallic silver Uniball ink pen. I made the Green Lantern symbol on his chest with a couple circle punches and a ribbon punch, all from McGill. The Birthday Boy sentiment is from the Amy R Stamps It’s Your Birthday set. Smallest skyscraper border is a Martha Stewart edge punch. The other sky line is a 12 in. Sizzlet border die.

Country Lula for August Tuesday Review…

My card for today uses Country Lula, the new Rolling Rose die (video below) and a sentiment from the new Mixed Messages stamp set.

I made a video for the Rolling Rose die…

I stamped Country Lula on PaperTrey Ink white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers. I masked her with Eclipse tape and stamped the chicken wire background stamp from Oxford Impressions behind her and the grass below her. I think the grass is from Rubber Stampede. Inked the sky in with Tumbled Glass Distress ink and the grass with Peeled Paint Distress ink and the Ink Blending Tool.

The little white flowers are from Maya Road, the pattern paper pad is 6×6 For the Record from Echo Park, Martha Stewart Around the Page Punch set, Hero Arts gems, machine stitching and the leaf frond is a small Sizzlet die from Stampin Up.

Like a Rose….

Are you singing it yet? The line from the song “Evergreen”…. haha, now it’ll be stuck in your brain for days! I always hate that! sorry! Lovin’ my light tent! It was so fast to capture this card tonight! yea! Scroll down for the video on how I made it!

This is the new rolling rose die from CC Cutters…I’ll do a little video for it soon! How come a gal gets all video crazy after she gets a video camera?! lol I used Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers, clear stamps and Ephemera Bits for this card. The lacy border and vine are from My Favorite Things… links below! Pearls from Hero Arts… colored them with copic marker E55.

Make your own Light Tent…

What you’ll need to make this at home right on your living room floor!

1/2 inch PVC pipe approx. $4 (cut with a pipe cutter for NO mess)
4 T’s for 1/2 inch PVC pipe 50¢ to 60¢ each
4 elbows for 1/2 inch PVC pipe 50¢ to 60¢ each
4 caps for 1/2 inch PVC pipe 45¢ each
4 one inch pieces of pipe to connect the elbows to the T’s
piece of shower curtain or some type of fabric to act as a diffuser, cut to fit over the pipe set up
2 clamp on light fixtures (mine are Bayco Super Tite Grip from Walmart in the hardware dept) approx. $8 each
2 light bulbs (mine are GE 6500K Daylight 26w from Walmart) approx. $5

For the large size tent cut the following

4, 15 in pieces of the 1/2 in. PVC pipe for the legs
4, 12 in pieces of the 1/2 in. PVC pipe for the top
4 short pieces (an inch or so) for connecting the elbows to the T’s

I LOVE that it folds up for sticking out of sight! yea!

Move your lights around until you’re happy with your photo. I still load my pictures into iPhoto and adjust the white balance, sharpen, etc. I take the photos of my cards with a Canon DSLR camera.
