Penelope and Zip…

Penelope and Zip definitely brighten the day!  Super cute!  I stamped them both with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Hammermil Color Copy Cover,  cut them out and colored them with Copic Sketch markers.  Penelope’s dress colors are BG11, 53, 75.  Hair colors are E50, 51, 31, 34.  Shoes are E40’s.  Zip is colored with YG00,01,02,03.

I used my favorite die ever to look like tree branches up in the left corner and sprigs down with the sentiment.  The little flowers I used today are from a Martha Stewart border punch… teeny four leaf sweeties.  I lay them on a mouse pad and push down in the center with the smallest tip embossing stylus.  I did put a black mark in the center and a teeny bit of R81 too.

Amazing again how easy it is to layer with the Perfect Layers Tools/Rulers… I used my Omnigrid 1 in x 6 in. ruler and mini rotary cutter to cut around the sentiment… then cut the layers with the Perfect Layers Tools 1/16th in.   Sweet!  love them! (link on the right in my sidebar)  Yes,  I am an enabler… but I will never tell you about something that I’m not completely sold on too!

What a happy dragonfly!  I sparkled up his wings with Distress stickles.. the clear one… Man that stuff comes out in a blob!  I had to spread it around with my paper piercer… the hole is too big in the bottle or I just don’t know how to do it!   I do like how it looks though… whew… he’s so cute all cut out!

CC Designs May Release Review…

I decided to make a baby gift enclosure card with Amy Young’s Blueberry Flitter Friend!  So adorable and such expressive eyes!  I’m loving the Amy R Great Greetings set, NEW this month.  Just can’t get enough of the teeny sentiments!  Lots of circle Nestabilities went into creating this Round Easel card… it’s not very big…a little over 4 in. wide is all!  I used some flower punches,  stacked ’em up, glued ’em together for the stopper… a few pearls on the butterfly and with the sentiment, from Hero Arts.   I paper pieced her clothes with the new 6 x 6 pattern paper pad from MME called Happy Go Lucky.  Blueberry is stamped on Paper Trey Ink white card-stock with Memento Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

I stamped them on PaperTrey Ink white card-stock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic  Sketch Markers and a couple Promarkers on the Tulip.  The image is die cut with Rectangle nestabilities. Have you tried the new Copic Sketch Marker colors yet?  I love them!  Today I used two, E81 and 87… love them!  They blend in great with the YG 90’s!

  • Hair – E50, 53, 55, itty bitty touches of 57
  • Skin – E000, 00, 01, 21
  • Cheeks – diluted R20 (diluted with R00 refill)

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch…punched twice out of green and pink and layered…very thin strip of brown card-stock for the body and antennae…Parisian Accents Spellbinders border cut four times and layered up for a chipboard effect.  I embossed the top one while still in the die and then touched it with the Blush Promarker on the high points.  The pattern paper is from the new Butterfly Garden set by Pink Paislee.

A Spring “thing”…

Spring is in the air, flowers everywhere (well, that’s stretching it for Iowa) and a color curve… pastels and a touch of brown.

I used Will you be my Valentine Tilda from the You Are So Special Collection. I don’t think she’s just for Valentines Day, so I’m using her for Spring!  I also used the NEW Vintage Flowers/Leaves dies and the NEW Antique Lace die. I also used the Doohickey’s Swirl die, poinsettia die (leaves under the flowers) and fence die. I added lines on the flowers, the leaves under the flowers and the branch type leaves with copic markers…the same colors for the reds and greens below… I used two colors of Twinery Twine …the Birds and Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder and the Gertie 6×6 paper pad in the store.

At stamp club last Friday,  Annette challenged us with her program to use embossing folders more often…so guess what…I did it! lol  Thanks Annette!  I embossed and sanded… love this look.

A couple more pictures…

I only used one punch on this card!  Martha Stewart’s grass border punch.  Tilda is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink  and colored with a combination of Tria, Promarkers and Copic markers…that’s why her face looks different! lol  On her skin I used ivory, blush and sunkissed pink.  Her hair is E50, 31, 33, 35, 37.  Shoes W1, 3, 5.  Flowers and hearts in the bouquet are R21,22,24. Her dress Buttercup, tulip yellow, YR30, 31. Green on the bouquet YG91, 93.

I cut my circles with my coluzzle templates.. I know, oldies but I still use them… I love nestabilities and they would work too.
