Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Whatever the Weather…

Hi everyone!  It’s time for a new Challenge at SSS Wednesday today!  The company we’re featuring on our blogs is Lawn Fawn and the theme is ‘whatever the weather’!  So fun!  It’s a pretty, sunny day on my card today!

I made a short video so you can see the action…

I used the new Magic Iris dies, Dandy Day stamp set, Reveal Wheel Circle Sentiments, Simple Grassy Hillsides dies and Stitched Rectangles dies.

Distress Oxides for the background.  Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn and ink blending brushes. I did some water drop spattering on the yellow and green spatters on the grass pieces.

These dies are an investment but I can see myself using them over and over again. Two of our grandsons have made cards with them so far. They really enjoyed it too!  😀

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – Use Some Green!

Hi everyone!  Use some green is the challenge this week for Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  What fun!  I had several things rolling around in my brain but this is what came out! lol

I used poppystamps Fun Floral Sidekick Frame and Stencil die set. Die cut everything in Canson Smooth Bristol Cardstock, the orange pad.

I’m thinking it’s a cactus, you know, looking down from a drone! lol   I sure had fun getting the Bristol card die cut pieces wet and dropping in the ink and watching it spread!

I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers for the watercoloring and a paintbrush.  I scribbled the marker on my craft mat, spritzed it with water and picked it up with a wet paint brush.

poppystamps Blomming Greetings clear stamp set for the sentiment.   I ink blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide on the card base, then used strips of mounting tape to adhere the frame. The sentiment panel is glued down in flat. The little pink flowers are from another set… I’ll link it up below also.

Hi cardmakers and friends!  I had fun this week stamping up this cute bunny gnome from the NEW Simon Says Stamp ‘Lucky to Know You’ release!

SSS graciously sent me their new Spring Gnome stamp set to play with.  I decided to stamp it a dozen times and cut out pieces to color and piece together to get that fun layered look.  I love how it turned out!

So cute!  I colored all the pieces with Copic Sketch Markers… BG70’s for the clothes, light W’s for the hair,  E90’s for the bunny ears, YG 90’s for the hat and ugh, I can’t remember what pinks I used in the ears!  The nose is regular skin colors.

I used the chisel end of the marker to make the lines on the clothes.

The sentiments are from the same set, inked with versamark and heat embossed with Lawn Fawn White embossing powder.

I used the SSS Stitched Rectangles set to cut the kraft color panel.  Bunny is popped up on the panel with the thin mounting squares.  I used thin mounting squares to raise all the pieces also.

So fun!  I love this set!  Two other super cute gnomes in the set and 3 more sentiments!

A branch die cut three times and trimmed to fit the scene completed the card.  I used a disc. die but I’m linking up some others below that would work fun with this stamp set!

This is an A2 size card.

I’m so excited to be posting with the gals at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge for the month of March!  Each week a different company is featured and a theme to challenge us!  I hope you will join us!

Here’s my card for this first week…featuring Polkadoodles and the theme, Something Feminine!

I fell in love with the images from this company and had to buy three. ❤ (the snowmen are adorable!) Links below…

This one is soooo cute!  Winnie – A Pile of Gifts.

I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic friendly coloring paper, colored with Copic Sketch Markers and cut it out.

Skin – I started with a layer of YR000, then E000, 00, 01, 02 and 11.

Cheeks – R20, then R30 and 32 and back around the edges lightly with R20.

Hair – E31, 34, 35, 39.

Pink Dress – R00, R81, 83.

Party Hat and Bow – B60’s.

Puppy – E42, 43, 44, 47.

The background is on Mixed Media card, die cut with Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles and ink blended Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink and Tim Holtz water bottle water drops.

A little scrap of MFT’s Black and White Stripes 6×6 paper pack.  An A2 size card!  ❤
