Shabby Chic “style” Mother card…

Oh,  I had some die cut creating time early this a.m.!  I absolutely LOVE how the CCD Cutters Squiggles die looks for the corner under the CCD Rolling Rose die and CCD Mistletoe die!  Then I used the Curly Q border die along with my Perfect Layering Tools to make the flower paper border and sentiment panel.  The pretty CCD Butterflies dies are three layers glued together so they are a little heavier and really stand out IRL!  Another card I wish I could just run across the street to show you!  = )

I love the touch of clear rhinestones everywhere… the pattern paper is from a Crate paper 6×6 pad. I can’t find this one to link to,  so I linked to a new pad that is really neat from them.  The little flourish tab thing is from an EK Success border punch… I just used a section of it!

Thanks all for visiting my blog again…I love the stamping community I feel such a part of on the WWW!  I just saw there is a stamp convention in Ohio next weekend… anyone going?

ttul!

For today’s card,  I used Umbrella Lula and colored her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers… scroll down to my post from yesterday for  the color information.  See that cute paper pieced umbrella?  That’s a new die and the umbrella stamp and sentiments are from the Umbrella Logos set!  Very cute!

I’m sharing a video I made quick the other day…I know… I got carried away with videos…hohoho!  I wanted to show how I keep my thin metal dies… so without further ado… here’s a 2 minute quickie!

Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #2 – Kraft…

Second Monday of the month makes it time for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!

Along with using your pixie/fairy/sprite stamps this month,  the challenge is to use kraft on your creation too!

I used this sweet Magnolia Fairy Tale Tilda stamp and finally some of the Magnolia Doohickey Dies that I’ve been collecting!  I do love these thinner dies and what a variety we have to choose from anymore!  Wonderful!

The stitching lines stamp I used is from a clear stamp set by Sandylion and the sentiment is from Savvy stamps.  I used Broken China and the ink blending tool around the circle.  Diamond stickles on her wings.

I stamped Tilda on Papertrey Ink select white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers.

We had family birthdays yesterday so I’ll have another birthday card to share tomorrow…

Hope you get a chance to click over to the Sweet Stamping Pixies challenge and play along!  A great Magnolia stamp will go to the winner, sponsored by Magnolia-licious!

I’m entering my card in the following challenges…

Just Magnolia – Anything Goes

By the Cute and Girly – Once Upon a time

Simon Says Stamp – Use your favorite tool (mine would be dies)

Flutterby Wednesday – Open

Crafting When We Can – Things With Wings

How does your Garden Grow…

ok – it is a laugh when I talk about gardening… ugh… I don’t know how to grow a thing!  So,  does all this stamping stuff count for “stuff” growing?!  Cuz it grows every day! lol  I’m good at growing that stuff! hahaha

Getting back on track…. this is cutie, sweet,  Laugh Lines Garden and her coordinating Watering Can Logos.  She knows what she’s doing!  She even has the right footwear!!!   Adorable!

Laugh is stamped on Hamermill Color Copy Cover paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.

I did!  I used the Fence from yesterday’s video tutorial… scroll down if you’d like to watch how I embellished the  CC Designs Cutters Fence die!

I changed up the  Flower border a tad… it grew some new flowers! ha!  sorta it did! I used the smallest flower from the Five Point Flowers die and glued them on top of the flowers that are on the border cut… it had to be something different from yesterdays make!

The  Grass Border… what can I say… it’s the best ever!  I am biased of course but I truly do love it!  It’s the perfect size and easy to add little blades with copic marker or two.

Thanks for making me smile and visiting my stamping blog… I love being on the receiving end of your generous comments and friendship!  Take care and see ‘ya back here tomorrow!

Let a leaf be your umbrella on a rainy day…

Another month of Swiss Pixie adorable-ness!  This is beautiful Rainy Day Birgitta… sweet, sweet, sweet… keeping dry under her leaf umbrella!  Birgitta is illustrated by Christine Wooden for her stamp line CC Designs. I stamped Birgitta with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Promarkers.

I’m sure you’re dying to know about the new dies I’m showing today!!!  Well… I’m dying to tell YOU!  Aren’t they awesome?!!!  Awhile back Christine asked the Design Team gals on our forum what ideas we had for dies!  Guess what I asked for… hehe.. yep… a flower border!  I couldn’t be happier!  It’s totally charming!

The Grass border is separate from the Flower border and then there is the Fence… purely fun! I will make a video on how I shaped it for dimension. Easy, I promise and the video will be short! I stamped the fence with a woodgrain stamp… so cool and then inked the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and the ink blending tool. I added some copic colored grass to the grass border die cut and some copic pink to the flowers in the flower border… I did do some paper piecing to the dies also… yep… true love… I ❤ these dies!

The Happy Spring Words and Hello sentiments are from a new for this month AmyR Stamps sentiment set called So Wordy…. cool name even and fun fonts too!  The flowers I used in the word border are from the NEW Watering Can Logos set we’ll be showing tomorrow… I know… I got a head… just a bit! hehe   I used my trusty ‘ole stamp a ma jig to do the word/flower border… no pattern paper was harmed in making of this card!  Oh,  there are two flower stamps…one solid and one outline… cool… more stamping!

The die cut clouds are CC Designs Cutters cloud dies.  I also cut one of the top one to use as a mask to make a cloud background. Following Tracy’s tutorial on the ATS blog,  HERE… only I reversed it… used blue paper and white distress stain!  I really liked it when I was done too… there is always that chance, it’ll be a bomb ‘ya know… so happy when it isn’t! hehe   Always fun to try something different anyway!

Thank you for visiting…
