Magnolia Tilda as Snow White…

Birthday time!  G-daughter Lizzie Faith had a Snow White birthday party Sunday.  So sweet!  Aunt “Colors” made her a Snow White dress that was out of this world beautiful!  Lizzie Faith loves it!

Here’s a picture of the party set up… Breanna, Lizzie Faith’s mom…she did the Green Lantern party awhile back for her 1 yr old and I showed a Green Lantern Edwin card.

So pretty with red roses and red apples!

A close up of Tilda…

She is stamped on Beckett Expression Super smooth 80# card-stock  with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut out and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  Lizzie Faith insisted on having strips of red in the sleeve… so I just tried to please her!  : )   I can’t remember what colors I used.  Punches are from the Punch Bunch.

I was inspired by Kittie’s frame cards – her tutorial is HERE!  Lovely cards on her blog!

Super Edwin stepping in for Green Lantern…

It’s been a busy Summer for our family birthday wise!  Our youngest daughter and her DH planned a Green Lantern themed party for their son Jace, with a cool invitation and skyscraper table piece she made with the Cricut.  I knew this Super Edwin was coming so I’m just now getting a card made for Jace!

Here’s a picture of the invitation…so cute!  I love it!

The party table with the skyscraper table display… so cool!  Awesome creating Breanna and Eric!  I love the wires between the buildings!

Back to Edwin…a couple side shots. It’s an Easel card with one mini easel add on in the front. Video Tutorial on how to make an Easel card with one add on HERE.  Video Tutorial on how to  make an Easel card with two add on’s HERE. Both are short!

A couple pictures from the side…

Super Edwin is NEW in The Winner Takes All Collection from Magnolia. I inked him up with Memento Tuxdeo Black ink, stamped on Beckett Expression Card-stock and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  The Skyscraper circle scene is from LaLa Land Crafts… inked with Distress inks, the ink blending tool and a little copic coloring too. Edwin’s cape is colored with a metallic silver Uniball ink pen.  I made the Green Lantern symbol on his chest with a couple circle punches and a ribbon punch, all from McGill.  The Birthday Boy sentiment is from the Amy R Stamps It’s Your Birthday set.  Smallest skyscraper border is a Martha Stewart edge punch.  The other sky line is a 12 in. Sizzlet border die.

More birthdays coming up! More reasons to stamp and create!  Thanks for stopping by!  I appreciate it!

Hot, Hot Days of Summer

SSSSShiver Me Timbers! is right!  It’s been so hot in Iowa this Summer!   I think the heat effects my creativity!  eek! This card took a few twists and turns before it turned into this diorama style card!

I used my Coluzzle templates to cut the ovals… Kraftin’ Kimmie Pirate Phrases stamp set…Tim Holtz screw brads around the oval frame…Martha Stewart Shells border punch…Hero Arts woodgrain background stamp.

The card/diorama is 5/8 inch deep,  so you can move it to make it flat (folds down to 6×6) to fit in an envelope!  Love this style of card… I made one for Christmas when I was the guest designer for All That Scraps back in Nov. ’09, HERE.  Years ago I made a snowman scene that I still keep out on top of a bookcase! lol

Here’s the back… this is going to our Grandson Henry for his 5th birthday.  Today is our Granddaughter Gena’s 4th birthday and my dear friend Alice’s birthday too!  Happy Birthday to YOU!

Easel card with two mini easel add ons…

Hot, Hot Days of Summer

No denying it’s hot right now!  So with that on our minds we might as well stamp and color inside where it’s cool!  I like that plan! : )  I LOVE this new Sweet Rainbow collection!

Another easel card with two add ons and a video on how I made the base…

I forgot to take a picture of this card closed!  It all folds down flat and will fit in an envelope!  The Lazy Summer Days “stopper” goes down and back.  Ponytail Tilda layer lifts up and folds to the front flat.  Cool Edwin, the same and the last tall layer is the card front working just like a regular Easel card.

here’s a front view…

All Magnolia stamps,  inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped on Strathmore Bristol Smooth heavy card…really nice paper and colored with Copic Sketch markers.  I used I don’t know how many dies too… I’ll link up below.  The little birds are pillow stickers by EK Success!!!  I LOVE them!

Close again…

Oh,  I wish you could see this in person… it is really charming!  It will be on the mantle for awhile I’m sure!

I’m linking my card to some other challenges also…
