Penelope and Fibonacci…

I LOVE Amy Young’s Sweet November Penelope and Darby images…now there is Briar too! Three new wonderful, charming and delightful images (and their pals) in the April CC Designs release.  You can see more of the fabulous design team creations HERE and HERE. I used Penelope and Fibonacci… link at the end of my post.

I stamped on Beckett Expression Super Smooth 80# cover Card-stock  with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers… ok – I got a little carried away with that E87  around the stem… I am loving the new E80’s markers… crazy… I know,  they weren’t “quite” the right colors for this pattern paper but… I’m stuck in a rut of using the YG90’s and the two new E80’s! ugh!  oh well, she’s a doll and I’ll have to do her up in more girly, sweet colors another time!  You’ll see when you go look at the links above!

copic colors used…

  • skin – E000, E00, E21
  • cheeks – R20 diluted with R00 refill and E00 to soften the edges
  • hair – YR30, 31, 21, 23, 24
  • dress – E81, YG93, 95, E87
  • shoes – E81, 87
  • stem – E43, 44, 47
  • toadstool head – E 40, 41, 42, 43 and R02, 05, 08
  • Fibonacci – E40’s and E80’s

The sentiment is from Amy R’s Get Well sentiment set… link below. Not sure why I couldn’t get the sentiment to photo clearly but it stamps and looks wonderful IRL!

I edged all the papers with Antique Linen Distress Ink and the Ink Blending Tool.

It’s a Butterfly Dreams post!

Some super sweet stamps from Magnolia on my stair step card today!  The latest collection, Butterfly Dreams…they just keep getting cuter!  I also used a few Magnolia Doohickey’s dies… I’ll link to them all in the photos below.

I made this a back panel stair step.  I didn’t take time to search to see if anyone has already done this.  I didn’t like it as tall either so I did some changing.  The pattern paper is from the Webster’s Pages 6×6 pad called Spring Market/Yacht Club.  Some really neat designs in the collection… link below.

Linking up to the Just Magnolia Challenge for this week, they’re celebrating birthdays! It’s HERE!  Linking to the Wee Memories Challenge post, HERE, the challenge is “All Things Adorable”… well, that’d be Tilda and Edwin! : )

Here’s a side view to see the stair step…

And some close ups…

Made ‘ya smile! Thanks for stopping by… links below take you to the products I used when you click on the pictures!  Happy Weekend!

April NEW Review…

Here’s Tulip Birgitta on the Spring Bench…both are new stamps for April from CC Designs at All That Scraps.com. I stamped them on PaperTrey Ink white card-stock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copic  Sketch Markers and a couple Promarkers on the Tulip.  The image is die cut with Rectangle nestabilities. Have you tried the new Copic Sketch Marker colors yet?  I love them!  Today I used two, E81 and 87… love them!  They blend in great with the YG 90’s!

  • Hair – E50, 53, 55, itty bitty touches of 57
  • Skin – E000, 00, 01, 21
  • Cheeks – diluted R20 (diluted with R00 refill)
  • Dress – E81, YG 90’s, E87
  • Shoes – E 42, 43, 44
  • Bench – E 40’s
  • Grass – YG 90’s and E 80’s
  • Pinks – Promarkers Bush and Sunkissed Pink and Copic R22

Martha Stewart Butterfly punch…punched twice out of green and pink and layered…very thin strip of brown card-stock for the body and antennae…Parisian Accents Spellbinders border cut four times and layered up for a chipboard effect.  I embossed the top one while still in the die and then touched it with the Blush Promarker on the high points.  The pattern paper is from the new Butterfly Garden set by Pink Paislee.

I’m linking my card up to the Lollipop Crafts Challenge blog…this week the theme is “all girl”! Sweet!

Stamps and stuff I used to make this card…

Hope you’re having a great week!   Our Central air for the main floor went out so we’re getting a new one installed…that means cleaning the basement! blech!  It will be SO worth it in the end! : )  Gotta keep cool! lol

Day #4 April Release…

Does she make you laugh?  She makes me chuckle…she looks sweet but kinda on the tough/tomboy side of sweet!  Like…  my mom made me dress up and hold this balloon! lol  Meet Little Loli,  one of two new images from the Love Lolita line by  CC Designs and available Sunday, April 3rd at All That Scraps.com, HERE.

I stamped her on PaperTrey Ink white card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.
  • hair – E50, 41, 43, 44, 47, 49
  • skin – E000, 00, 01
  • cheeks – R20, 21, 22
  • eyes – E23, 25, 27
  • dress, socks, shoes – R20, 21, 32
  • ground and shadow – W0, 1, 3, 5

I created the card and paper pieced her heart with the Hazel paper pad.  The sentiments are from parts of two stamps inked up with Versafine and stamped with the stamp a ma jig. I like to use the little square Versafine stamp pad for this… it’s really easy to get in and ink up just what you want!  Flowers are from Hero Arts with Bazzill Bitty brads in the center, that I colored with Copic marker R21.  The pink flower layer is the EK Success small Retro Flower punch.  For the corners of the scallop rectangle nestability, I used some old Making Memory button brads and colored them with Copic marker R21 too.  I used a regular nestability and cut her out of the box.  The cute little banner cuts at the top and the bottom are from a NEW CC Designs banner die set the gals will be showing tomorrow and will be released Sunday, April 3rd too.

Below are the links to the products I used on this card… hope you find it helpful… it looks nice but I’m curious what you think!  Christine has been busy adding lots of new in the store,  HERE… stamps, paper pads… lots!!!

Have a great weekend! Looks like Spring! ttul!

CC Designs March Review…

Today I’m spotlighting the new CC Cutters Balloon die by CC Designs at All That Scraps, HERE. Check out the ATS blog for the other DT gal’s creations!  Always love to go study the DT work! : )  I also used Emma with her wagon (there is a pumpkin in the wagon, I just didn’t ink it up, it’s easy to tap the ink on and miss the pumpkin), she’s in the store HERE.  She is stamped on PaperTrey Ink card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black in, in the store HERE and colored with Copic Sketch Markers, in the store HERE… be sure to get the new colors!  I used a couple of the new colors on Emma and the sky,   BG70 and one on her hair YR30.  I used E50, YR30, 31 21,23 on her hair – Apron BG70, 72 (tip to tip) – dress the B90’s – shoes E43, 44, 47, 49 – skin E000, 00, 01 and diluted R20 for cheeks (R00 refill) – wagon E95, 97, 99, W3, 5, 7, 9, E07, 08, 19, 18 – sidewalk drawn in with a copic multi-liner pen W0, 1, 3, 5 – grass YG93, 95, 97, 99 and BG70 and BG0000 for the sky.   I thought the sky was dark but it dried lighter than I thought it would!  Wish you could see it IRL,  it came out cool.  The number 8 is a Quickutz die from the Diesel alphabet set.

It’s hard to see but I drew in white plaid on her apron with a opaque white pen,  in the store HERE.  She is one of my favorite images from CC Designs…glad I don’t have to pick a fave though.. it would be tooooooo HARD!

The My Minds Eye Pattern paper pad that I used is just back in stock at the store HERE and is called “Hattie” … an awesome 6×6 pad,  love it!  Check out the other three from MME too HERE. I find them a bit easier to use than BG…shame on me!  I only have a million of the BG pads to use,  so I must keep on working with them… do you find that though…that some are easier than others???

The sentiment, “SWEET” is from Amy R’s new “It’s Your Birthday” sentiment set, in the store HERE.  I love both of these new sets this month…really easy to finish out the whole card,  outside and in!!!

I used the Sweet Stop Sketches Challenge blog’s sketch for Emma and the spin this time is “sweet”.  No problem with that!  Emma is that and more! lol  The Stamp Something Challenge blog’s theme is “Something Sweet”, that’s our Emma! : )  The Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge blog’s theme is “Die”ing to Punch it out!  I die cut the number eight and the balloons!

I made the rolled flowers from a Stampin Up scallop circle punch.  The three leaves underneath are a Magnolia Doohickey’s die, in the store HERE… yep… love these poinsettia leaves! hahahahaha  I did emboss lines/veins on them,  but hard to see on the dark paper.

I think that’s pretty much all for now… oh,  the card-stock is SU almost navy.. hmmm… that doesn’t sound right,  correct me….I’m always challenged trying to match pattern papers to card-stock… I could be faster if these companies would put on the cover what card-stocks match their papers! hahahahaha… would that be cheating?  oh that would be wonderful! lol

I’ll shut up for now!  Thanks for stopping by and ttul!
