Inky Impressions Challenge #12

The challenge this week at Inky Impressions is to use the sketch that Tonya created.
I used Angelica Daydreams from Inky Impressions Rubber Stamps and colored with copic sketch markers.
I decided to show my close up picture first….she’s wishing for a Happy Birthday or something!

I thumbed through my 6×6 Basic Grey Urban Prairie pad and thought this piece looked challenging but fun!  This is what I ended up with.  I haven’t done sketches very often and I kept wanting to quit adding stuff,  my nature you know…hehe

The flower band is a Tonic border punch,  the sentiment is part of a sentiment stamp from Inky Impressions,  the flowers are from a mixed pack from Hero Arts,  the two different leaves are both from the Punch Bunch,  SU oval punch, EK Success paper shapers butterfly punch,  Making Memories brads,  nestabilities rectangle die and the fence stamp is from Magnolia.

Thanks Tonya for the challenge sketch!  Hoping you all can join myself and the other Inkettes in playing along this week…thank  you for visiting my blog!

My copic marker holder…

Look what I found at Oozak.com a few weeks ago…it’s the perfect copic marker display and it holds up to 288 markers!  Love it!
Since I don’t have a post for today,  yet… I thought you might like to see this wonder! I like it because it doesn’t take up much space and the markers are in order!!! oooh, love that!

I have it turned vertically on my desk, I can keep my “jig” handy and my memento black ink pad right there in the bottom of it!

It really is made to be horizontal,  so the second picture I turned it so you could see it that way too.  I suppose the slot at the side is for a retailer to keep color brochures about the product.

I love it…what do you think? it’s a great price too!!! gotta love that!

Ben – if you water it, it will grow!

closeupIsn’t he adorable!  oh he was so fun to color too!  look at the dirt on those new sneakers!!!  He is so precious!  Doesn’t every child love a watering can!  or a garden hose for that matter!

Here’s the link to check these wonderful images out to purchase… Mo’s Digital Pencil

I print the digital images on my Epson C120 inkjet printer with real Epson Dura Brite Ultra ink,  but I have to spray them with an acrylic sealer to keep the ink from bleeding and ruining the tips of my copic sketch markers.  Yep,  color away with the awesome copic sketch markers…  Some gals aren’t having any problems but just a heads up so you’re prepared!

Thanks for coming to my blog and I love receiving your comments and replying!

Happy news and my first Inky Impressions card!

I was looking at blogs awhile back and ran across the cutest little girl image on a UK gal’s blog. Immediately I went  googling and sure enough, found them right here in the good ‘ole USA!  HURRAH! Went to their site and blog, found the owner was doing a design call.  I read the particulars and thought, I’m gonna try this! So here I am, a few weeks later, one of the new Inky Impressions rubber stamps, Inspirational Inkettes! There are blinky’s in my sidebar for the shop, the owner’s blog, the Inky Inkettes’ blogs and the Inky Impressions Challenge blog. Lots to look at and have fun with!
Here’s my first Inky Inspiration……..Hope you love it!!!!

I used several stamps on this card…the main image is Angelica Daydreams from Inky Impressions,   pile of books and background stamps from Magnolia,  a Whipper Snapper castle and the border stamp is from a clear set by Sandylion.  I stamped Angelica and the castle in memento black ink and colored with copic sketch markers. The pattern papers are from Lasting Impressions for Paper.  The thought bubble, I printed on the computer with kindergarten font and punched with an EK Success paper shaper punch.  I love how the border makes you feel like you are looking in on the scene…remember the days of your youth????!!!  I married my prince,  over 33 years ago!  My… time flies!

Inky Impressions paper piecing challenge

heartthrobs_closeupDoesn’t she just make you smile? So cute and all dressed up to go somewhere!  I paper pieced the suitcase, her sweater, skirt, socks and headband…This weeks challenge is “Paper Piecing” at Inky Impressions Challenge blog. Make any type of creation following the challenge and an Inky Impressions image to play along. For those of you that may have missed the free digistamp that Nicole offered last week, you can find it here. Check out the challenge blog to see the other Inkette paper pieced cards.

heartthrobs1I love the girl stamps from Inky Impressions.  I am now on their design team, an Inspirational Inkette.  A challenge in and of itself!   I will post about that next.  I used pattern paper & puffy heart stickers (Smitten) from K & Co., map stamp is from Toybox, sentiment and suitcase are from Inkadinkado and rhinestones from my stuff.  Angelica/Heart Socks is stamped in memento black ink and colored w/copics where she isn’t paper pieced.  Wish you could see this IRL…so much cuter! lol
