slantFeb10

I always want to say,  “WOW,  It’s Wednesday again”!  It sure sneaks up on me fast! lol  I colored Princess Rosie for La-la Lands Weekly Wednesday challenge from Design Team member Lisa…no designer paper.  ok.  I can do that!   Rosie is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah classic crest supersmooth 80# card-stock and colored with copic sketch markers, (photo at the end of the post).

Here she is up close…a real Princess for sure! so sweet!

Visit the La-la Land Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog to see what the other Design Team members created.  I sure had fun…I love to stamp and use stamps…I’ll post a list of what I used.

  • Princess Rosie from La-la Land Crafts
  • Dreams from Printworks, F2857 (I divided the stamp again,  used my stamp a ma jig, I can’t stamp without it!) Inked and stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.
  • Castle from Whipper Snapper, EY825
  • Flourish border from Sandylion, KSTP15 Borders 2, clear stamp set. Inked and stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.
  • Magnolia grass and clouds background stamp, inked with distress inks, peeled paint and broken china.  I inked and stamped the grass first and then the clouds because I wanted more space between the earth and sky!  I filled in the grass with peeled paint and the ink blending tool.

So many fun challenge blogs out there!  I keep finding more,  so I’ll be linking this card to these challenges…

Thanks for stopping by….later this morning I’ll be posting for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog…so…see ya real soon!  We’re doing Tri-shutter cards today….fun!

Tilda Blowing Hearts…

TildaBlowingHearts2Feb10

I’m so hoping to get Valentines done this week to send to our Grandchildren…not sure it will happen but I want to! I stamped Tilda Blowing Hearts with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Supersmooth Classic Crest 80# card-stock and colored her with Copic sketch markers. (I had her face colored nicely yesterday and then today, I thought I could improve on it and yukked it up! boohoo!  I guess it doesn’t really work to come back 18 hours later and start re-coloring. I get tired of education some-times,  don’t you?!!!  I used the Copic clear Spica glitter pen on her wings. I cut my Bazzill card-stock to 5.5 x 11 in. and scored it at the half mark with my scor-it board.
I stamped on Eclipse tape and then cut inside the lines to create a mask to cover her so I could stamp the Love Heart background over the top of her. I created flowers with the Nellie Snellen flower punch and embosser small size. The stamen is an old Family Treasures punch. Quickutz scroll dies from a Revolution 4×4 die. The red border is a new Martha Stewart scallop heart border punch and the older doily lace border punch on the bottom. I cut the Tilda image out with the Nestabilities label four set, the largest one. The black piece I traced around the die and hand-cut it…not hard at all…but I love to cut!
I’m entering this in some challenges…

Thanks for coming by! Happy Stamping!

Queen of Hearts….

is preachin’, “Chocolate: It’s not just for Breakfast….and I couldn’t agree more!!!  The Challenge on ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog this week is to create something you could use for Valentine packaging. I used an Accucut heart box die that is just the right size for my Green and Blacks organic 70% Dark Chocolate bar.  Amazing chocolate,  my fave!

La-La’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge #24

LalaHeartFeb10

Time for La-la’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge! This week, design team member Kristine, challenged us to use hearts in our creations. I am using La-la with Heart. She is making me smile, even though this is the third time I am typing this up!!! I don’t usually have trouble but Safari just deleted everything I’d done when I went to schedule this! yikes! So, I will persevere because she is so cute! lol Here she is up close….

lalaHeartFeb10close

I stamped La-la with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers. Photo below showing what markers I used. She is cut out and mounted on My Minds Eye pattern paper.  This is my favorite Martha Stewart corner and border set punch so far this year! lol  A lot of year left and I’ve seen tons of new stuff coming from them!  I just love the lacey effect the double heart borders create! The three hearts are puff pillow stickers by K & Company. I stamped the sentiment, “Heart Warming Wishes” B3168 from Printworks with Versafine Black Onyx ink on the pattern paper. I aged the edges of all the “parts” with Antique Linen Distress ink and my Ink Blending tool.
Hope you have time to visit the challenge blog and the DT personal blogs to see their heart creations. Join us in using “hearts” this week.

I am entering my card in these challenges also…

Happy Winter Antoinette….

KKJan10

Antoinette from Kraftin’ Kimmie stamps…I purchased this whimsical skater girl well before Christmas but this is the first I’ve stamped and colored her. I have a skater girl weakness… I will still be in the Winter “mode” for awhile because I have a bunch of snowmen that have never been inked too!

Well, I added bling again..woohoo…the Zva Creative flourishes are really easy to use! I’m impressed! I have a package of the pearl kind to try next!  I know,  I’m still stuck on this Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper too… I love it!  Snowflake punch is from Stampin UP.  Icicle punch is a border punch from EK Success… I used the actual punch out part,  I liked it better! lol  This time anyway.  Bazzill and Stampin Up card-stock.  The white I used is Neenah Classic Crest Super smooth.  Antoinette is inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with Copic Sketch markers,  photo of markers used below and cut out with Oval Nestabilities dies. Crystal Ice Stickles on the snowflake and Polar White Flower Soft on her ear muffs and dress. The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps 723B Happy Winter, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Holler at me if I forgot something.  I created a column to the right in the sidebar listing the tools that I use every-time I stamp.  Amazing how I keep thinking of more tools to add to the list! lol

Saturday Spotlight challenge this week,  “Bigger is Better”….well,  look at the size of that snowflake! lol  They always have fun challenges!  Thanks Vicki and SS team!

A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge this week is “Freestyle” (anything you like)….well,  that’s easy!  Thank you Debbie and Nikki!
