Swiss Pixies Butterfly Lucy for Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge #3…

It’s the second Monday of the month and that means it’s Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge time!  The challenge starting today is… your favorite fairy, pixie or sprite!

Here’s Butterfly Lucy from CC Designs to charm you with a little scene I created.  I woke up at 4:19 Saturday a.m. with the idea to make the new fence die a heart fence… well…then I had to figure out how to do it because most punches punch from the bottom and would be upside down if you tried to punch from the top!  Here’s a video to show you how I did it!  I love it!  Hope you’re inspired to try it too!

You can click over to YOU Tube if you want to watch the video in High Definition. Click on the gear looking thing next to the red talkie box and it’ll let you choose HD.

My first Fence video is HERE.

A close up photo of the fence…

Butterfly Lucy is stamped with Colorbox Archival Wicked Black ink on Canson Manga Drawing heavyweight paper and colored with Distress Markers.  I stamped the Butterfly Logo with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Bazzill Dawn card-stock and cut it out with a Fiskars mini pinking scissors.

The Flower Border die is cut out of three colors of card-stock.  I leave the green together and glue the pink and yellow on top of the green.  The Grass Border die is die cut and then crimped with Quilling Creations crimper!  LOVE this fun tool!  Links below…

The three yellow butterflies flitting around the scene are an EK Success paper shapers punch… the tree limb is my favorite Leafy Branch die from CC Designs Cutters… links below.  I used the Rosie’s Roadshow cloud template, Tumbled Glass Distress ink pad and ink blending tool to make my cloud background.  I edged the papers and fence with Distress inks and the blending tool.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  oh,  this was long but I hope you had a good time!  I had fun creating this to share with you!  Hope you can click over to check out the SSPC blog too!

Enjoy your special day…

This sentiment makes me think of my friend Annette (a very talented stamper, you can see some of her work on our stamp club blog HERE) who is celebrating 50 years of marriage on Sunday!  I think her DH is the gardener though but still… it is a very special celebration!  Congrats Annette and Dick!

This is a new gal, Tilly from the Sweet November Garden Gnome collection.  Bless her heart… workin’ away… I’m sure her roses are gorgeous and her tomatoes truly red and tasty!  There are two more of these cuties and you can see them in the Preview post if you click over to the ATS blog, HERE.  Four Preview days this week for All That Scraps!  That’s a lot of NEW and you can see it and purchase it in the STORE tonight at 8 p.m. CST.  YES, that’s earlier… yea!  I like earlier myself! = )

The sentiment I used is from the NEW All About Dad Sentiment Set.  Lots of great phrases and words that can be used all year round too!

I love stamping on the cloud dies… and there’s my fave Leafy Branch die… perfect for garden greenery!!!  Check out that sun!  That’s the Sunflower die!  Awesome CC Designs Cutters dies!   I pierced my papers and hand stitched with buttonhole thread.  The little rose is from Prima and the 6×6 paper pad I used is Pretty Party from Crate paper…very cool pad!  A pink piece with strawberries,  a piece with sewing pattern pieces on it… 2 each of 18 different patterns… I used five of them on this card!

I stamped Tilly on Canson Manga 150# Drawing card with Colorbox Wicked Black Archival ink and colored her with Ranger Distress Markers.  So fun!  love these markers… no I don’t love any markers better than another….. I LOVE them all!   = )

One last picture… yesterday was a family day here… makes a grandma so happy.  I have to share the artwork from Jace.  One of our grandsons that will be two in July!  He’s an artist!  He can make a masterpiece outside the lines!  Pretty sure that pink butterfly down there got colored by big sister with a marker…. she just couldn’t leave it! lol

Jace used AmyR Stamps Butterfly Sentiment set… I stamped them because it had to be waterproof ink and it’s on watercolor paper. Into the art museum a.k.a. mom’s smash book! lol

AND,  YES.. you NEED THESE!!!!  NEW Spring Limited Edition  Distress Ink pads!!!  hohoho… more colors to edge papers with… more colors to paint with… more colors to use for resist stamping…more to LOVE!   HERE they are!!!  ATS has the best shipping policy… free ship with a $40 order… awesome!  Don’t miss out on these pads!

Sassy Emma…

Emma of Sugarplums fame is  back! Standing tall in the strawberry patch!  Love the sentiment too…part of the NEW Berry Logos cling stamp set.  The Strawberry die comes with the berry, the top and the blossom… so sweet!  I used the Dottie Trim Border die for the dirt.  The fence is the new die from last month… my video on how I shaped it is HERE.  The pattern paper pad is from We R Memory Keepers and the twine is from My Minds Eye.  The stitching lines stamp is from Sandylion… it’s discontinued but HERE is a picture of it, so you know what you’re looking for.

I colored Emma with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.  Skin – ivory, vanilla, oatmeal, apricot and soft peach for her cheeks.  Hair – Champagne, Nutmeg and Auburn, all Flexmarkers.   Shirt and headband – Pastel Pink and Berry.  Jeans – Pastel Beige, Soft Khaki (flex) and Khaki.  Shoes – same as jeans only add Umber.

I love the dirt/Dottie Trim die cut out of the pattern paper but the fence,  not so much.  Funny how that works… ok,  not so funny when you’re all done! lol   I’ll quit looking at the picture and go eat some strawberries!

Sassy Emma, the Strawberry die and Berry Logos are all part of the May release… they’ll be in the store Thursday night at 8 p.m. CST, HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the creations by the rest of the ATS Design Team HERE.  While you’re there be sure to link up on yesterday’s preview post and today’s!

Bee-trice… be prepared to smile!

Here’s A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E.  Bee-trice!  Bee-trice and Berry Beatrice are part of the May Release for CC Designs!  LOVE!

Beatrice is stamped with Colorbox Wicked Black Archival ink on Canson Manga heavyweight drawing paper and colored with Distress markers… I do love these markers!!!  So if you can’t decide but you think you want them,  I’m here to tell you…they’re GREAT!  I do think having the right paper makes all the difference though.

I used four markers for her hair…Scattered Straw,  teeny bit of Mustard Seed…thought it was a bit something, so I added in a bit of Antique Linen and finally Wild Honey.

For her face I used…Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar and Dried Marigold…scribbled on an imagine sheet from my Stamp a ma jig and mixed together with a wet #2 Grumbacher paint brush (Goldenedge 4620 Round).  Her cheeks are Spun Sugar scribbled on the sheet and a wet paint brush.

Her Body is Black Soot, Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed.

I painted the ticket with these same markers and edged with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool.  Pretty much all my paper edges are done, the same way.

I used the NEW ticket die (comes with two sizes) that matches the NEW Bees Knees Logo set.  The Buzz Ticket and Happy Bee-Day are from that set also.  (Happy Bee-day is stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink)  I had to use the Grass Border die and the Flower Border die… LOVE them both!  So… guess how I crimped the grass that I cut with the Grass Border die???!!!  There is an awesome tool (link below) from Quilling Creations… called the Deluxe Crimper… it does strips of paper up to approximately 3/8 in. wide and you can choose between two sizes of crimping…  oh me oh my… I fell in love!  I love little things anyway and just the thought of having little crimping makes my heart beat faster! hahahahahaha   So you’ll be seeing lots of little bits crimped for awhile!

Pattern paper from the October Afternoon Seaside 8×8 paper pad.

Holler if I missed any info you need!

Bee-trice and I are buzzing off to start another card for tomorrow!  Come back for a NEW Swiss Pixie and a NEW Sugarplum.

Thanks for visiting today….stampers are the best kind of people!!!  That would be YOU!

Curly Q Flower making video…

I used the Curly Q die to create the flowers in this Flower Pot Bouquet card HERE!  I used the super cute Grass border, Flower border and Fence dies too, HERE… I used them on this card and this card….

Sorry about the quality of this video… I changed the setting on my camera for the last few videos so they would load faster to You Tube…not realizing that smaller meant compromising the quality! boo!  I will be changing back to HD for future videos!

Hope it gives you an idea of how fun this die is… I also used it in some creative ways in this post.   LOVE it!

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll get to work on some new stuff!  yea!
