NEW stamps for May…

Cute Birgitta, Christine’s newest Swiss Pixie for CC Designs May release. Cute is right and so fun to color! The Stonewall is new this month too… Birgitta is always needing someplace to rest! I stamped Birgitta on PaperTrey Ink Card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then masked her and stamped the stonewall. A tutorial I made that shows how to do it is HERE. I used Copic Sketch Markers BG70, 72, YR20, 31, YR21, 23, 24 for her clothes. Her hair is the E50’s. Distress inks applied with the ink blending tool…Broken China, Pumice Stone and Weathered Wood, in that order. Finally purchased the Heavy Coats and Clarks Thread at JoAnns so I tried it out.. I like it!

I LOVE text and the NEW Great Greetings set for May is AWESOME! My FAVORITE so far!!! See the tiny phrase on the stem of the flower?! EASY to ink up one part or the other because there is plenty of room to just get ink on the Big part of the sentiment or the small phrase part of the sentiment! Using my trusty stamp a ma jig… you can place the text anywhere you want! YEA! I use my little square Versafine Black ink pad… so nifty! lol See what I mean?!!! So cool!!!

See the butterfly die cut? NEW this month from CC Designs, CC Cutters! Two beautiful butterflies on the die! I cut a teeny strip of dark brown card-stock to make the antennae.

Then the postal set is NEW… very cool…I love text… I love postal!

I’m linking my Cute Birgitta card up to the following Challenges –  Papertake Weekly Challenge blog… fancy a punch? (or die) – Paper Play Challenge Blog…show us your style – My Mum’s Craft Shop Challenges … to die for and at Allsorts Challenge blog…use three or more stamps! Great challenges!  thank you!

Anya’s Birthday card…

Our granddaughter Anya turned six yesterday and the family birthday party is tomorrow , we have three birthdays this month…so two more cards coming soon!

This cutie stamp’s name is “looking at you” from Stampavie!  So cute and so like Anya IRL!

The next picture shows my clever little trick to make the easel card stopper!  I LOVE it!

Do you see it?  I used two circle punches and a Quickutz flower die and an Amy R’s birthday sentiment, “birthday girl”.  I scored the pink circle, folded it and stuck part under the layers on the bottom of the card.  The green circle I cut off so it wouldn’t be too thick under the layers… cool… I’m sure I’ll be doing this again.  It’s just like a card “stop sign”! lol

Here’s a close up of “looking at you”…

Colored with Copic Sketch Markers – Hair YR30, 31, 23, 24 – shirt and socks R81, 83, 85 – pants & shoes E40, 41, 42, 43, 44 – butterfly BG0000, 000, 01, 02.  Pattern paper by Jillibean Soup (it’s on sale!). Cardstock is from Prism.  Hug Snug seam binding.  Sentiment stamps, Versafine ink, Magnolia Dragonfly die, Spellbinders dies, Memento inks applied with ink blending tool to sky (summer sky)  and grass (pear tart, new sprout and bamboo leaves) … links below.

Linking my card up to a couple challenge blogs…

Papertake Weekly – anything goes with the optional circle…that’d be my stopper! : ))

Flutter By Wednesday – anything goes with a butterfly

Peeking Posies…

I’m so glad that Hero Arts brought this Peeking Posies set back… it’s so fun to color with all coloring mediums.  I colored this flower from the set of four with Twinkling H2O’s. You can kinda see the sparkle in my photos!  Hero Arts sentiment C4024 (not available anymore), May Arts ribbon,  an old Making Memories buckle and SU retired paisley background.

Stamps and stuff I used to create this card…inspiration from the WWW!
