Hi cardmakers and friends! Tool time! The tools have been out a lot here lately! What a month! I’m ready to get back on track.
It’s been hard to work upstairs with our upstairs AC unit out. ugh… I do not do well with HOT and humid! (a little cooler in here this morning cuz it rained overnight) The new unit came Wednesday and all the prep work done and installation started yesterday afternoon. Fortunately they work on Saturday and are back at it this morning! Hoping today is the day to have the upstairs air conditioned again! Crazy!
Oh and last Sunday my dryer heating element went out. lol So new washer and dryer this week too. Yikes! What a busy house! lol
So yes, tools are right on target! haha
I embossed this new 3D folder from Memory Box in my Big Shot, inked over with a little Distress Gathered Twigs ink and the mini blending tool… I like the mini for stuff like this…it seems like the brushes would get ink in deeper than just the surface I want for this look.
I used a couple planks from the Memory Box die and the new poppystamps Playful Happy Birthday die. A little twine and it was done!
The little screw brads… so teeny and cute. I don’t know if they’re still available anywhere. I think these were from Karen Foster brand way back inn 2004 – 5 ish! I linked to a few possibilities below.
Next card…
I love this new Rope set from Memory Box…I haven’t begun to use all the pieces to the set! It’s one I will always be glad I have though…a long with the wood planks!
I used the new 3D Waves Embossing folder and scuffed it up with a sanding block… the new Memory Box paper pads work great for this! The new Sailboat dies and fun sentiments from the Whittle Sealife stamp set to finish it off. I use the smallest die in the Memory Box Slim Basic Rectangles die set to cut out my stamped sentiments. It’s longer than I need but I just trim the ends accordingly after die cutting them out.
I put a few of the new clear domed Fairy Dots on this one.
Holler if you have any questions! Both cards are A2 size.
I’ll be back next week a lot cooler and hopefully more creative! Yikes…When it’s Summer I always wish I was more of a Summer gal but I’m not! haha Sorry for the whine! ❤
Thank you for stopping by!

Adorable cards Pam! Our kids have to leave early tomorrow AM. Darn airlines changed their tickets from evening to around 6 AM!!! They also lost the day they came-they had a downpour in Detroit-so instead of getting in around 10 AM-they didn’t get here until 6 PM! We also had problems with our air-but luckily it only needed more freon (or however you spell it) so it was an easy fix-but not that cheap-ha ha!! Otherwise we have had a great time! Hope you get yours taken care of soon. They always cause problems at the worst possible time!!
Love the cards! Great for men!!
Good cards for men!
Love your cards for men. I am lucky my craft room is in the basement always cooler down there, even the dog likes it. Hopefully you will have your air conditioning back up soon. Take care.
Howdy! Nice ones for guys!!! I had some little screw brads in slotted and Phillips but used mine up long ago!
Fabulous masculine cards Pam!
Two fun and masculine cards — tools or not, they’re both terrific! Hope your A/C is up and running by now
Both are cute cards! So glad you are getting your air conditioning back! Sorry about the dryer going out…it seems like when it rains, it pours…LOL! Such is life. Thanks for sharing your cards!
These are both absolutely amazing Pam – the subtle highlight on the boats, and I’m loving those planks!!!
Dang it, Pam! Love these two cards so much! You had me over at Cindy’s looking. The fish/ocean/beach stuff grabs me every time and then I end up not using it all that much. Your tool card is super cute. I went the same route for Rich’s Father’s Day card because he’s been doing so much of that kind of stuff lately. I can’t imagine being without air conditioning in your weather! The Pacific NW is having a record heat wave, but we’re comfortable here on the coast. Where our son lives it was 108 yesterday. North of him in Portland they say 115 today. Yikes!
