Simon Says Stamp Botanical Split Background Slimline Card…

Hi everyone! Today’s card I’m using the center section of this new stamp from Simon Says Stamp’s latest NEW release ‘Hello Beautiful’. It’s a cool 6×6 background stamp but it splits into three pieces and you can use it all or just parts!

I started with Strathmore Best Watercolor paper pad, the brown one, taped it down, spritzed with water good and dropped in distress ink pad refill inks. Then I used that camera lens cleaner puffer tool.  I think that’s what it is anyway.  To move the inky water around.

Then I dried it with the heat tool.

After it was good and dry, I used the powder tool on it before I heat embossed the stamp in white on the watercolor background.

Then the question was, what to do with it! lol

I wanted to bring in some color, so I picked a light yellow from my stash.

Heat embossed a couple sentiments on vellum from SSS Sending and Wishing stamp set. Trimmed it down, folded it around the watercolor panel, taped it on the back, die cut the label and glued it on.  Nothing complicated at all!

I’ll link up what I used below…hopefully they’re all still available!  Have you tried making slimline cards yet?  What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by!
