Hi again! Another fun sidekick die from poppystamps. I’m not sure I did it justice but I had fun!
I die cut the frame in a piece of woodgrain pattern paper. Colored over the flower pot parts with Copic markers, BG53, 57, YG 25, 17, YR18, E99 and the birds with BG53, 57, E57, E99. I die cut the frame from a piece of cardstock and glued the pattern paper to it, making it sturdier. Then adhered it to the cardbase.
I die cut the vines in white cardstock and colored them with the same greens, YG25 and YG 17.
I stamped a sentiment from the poppystamps Birthday Blowout clear stamp set. Then on the inside I’m going to stamp ‘celebrate your day’ and ‘happy birthday’ from the same set. I LOVE it when there’s sentiments that work together in a stamp set!
I put Glossy Accents on the pots and left them to dry…then decided it needed something else, so I stamped in the white dots very carefully. hmmm… not sure I should’ve but to late now! haha
Here’s an iPhone ‘before the dots’ picture. WOW, we got new phones and man does this thing take good pictures! All I did was crop, resize and put my name on it! whoa! (a little different color tone)
Even as good as the photos are… it’s still better IRL! 😀
Memory Box update…There’s an even newer release now and mine just arrived! Stores already have them in stock so be sure to check them out! HERE they are at Starlitstudio.net. If you want to see the cards Memory Box has already made up for samples, go HERE and click on each item to see a sample, then back to shop… pretty cards!
Here’s some more great shopping! This is good through Sunday. Penny Black, Ranger, Lawn Fawn, Sizzix, just to name a few.
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Cardmaking Day! (I know, it’s supposed to be Scrapbooking Day! lol Every day is cardmaking day!)
Here’s what I used to make this card…

I love it with the white dots!!!! The woodgrain is brilliant, and the Glossy Accents is just perfection!!!
Okay, well, I’m glad I got this one because I do love it. I have one cut in kraft, but I sure do love the wood grain idea. Very cool with the gloss on the pots! I need some of those brushes (and a million other things).
ps: Gee, thanks for mentioning the new release (ahem). I see something I may not be able to live without.
Pam ~ I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this card!! You are so very talented. I ALWAYS appreciate the AWESOME inspiration!! Thank you!!
