Monday greetings everyone! Back with a masculine birthday card…very Summer-ish!
I had fun playing with the Distress Oxide inks again on Mixed Media card-stock. I blended the ink on with the ink blending tool and then spritzed it with a mister bottle of water.
At first I didn’t like it so it’s taken me a few weeks to finish this. I’m glad I persevered! lol Always nice to have a man card in the stash!
I used the following dies…the Dragonfly Stems Corners are layered on top of the Grassy Stems Corners.
Tall Grassy Stems Right Corner
I die cut everything from Mixed Media Card-stock and colored them except for the happy birthday sentiment. I cut it from black 2mm craft foam and black card-stock. I glued the card-stock cuts to the foam and then glued them to the card after I assembled all the scene pieces.
This ended up a little over a 5 ½ inch square card. I get my square envelopes HERE.

Oh love the distress inks spritzed on the mixed media cs. Perfect card for a guy.
the effort was well worth it pam! it’s a fabulous card and is perfectly suited to the penny black and more challenge masculine theme. 🙂
I love this one Pam!!! Cards for men are so hard!! I still haven’t broken down and purchased the Oxides yet. I keep telling myself-use what I have and quit buying more stuff-ha ha!!!
Oooooh that is a pretty one! Or should I say “handsome” one! haha! Either way, I love it! The background with the Oxide inks looks wonderful!!
That is just so cool, I love the nighttime scene you have come up with, cool layering of it all too!
Loving how you mix dies together Pam – this is such an awesome guy card!!!
Pam, this card is utterly gorgeous. I have some of those ink pads coming and love those dies. I’ve said it before. You make magic.
It’s beautiful Pam! Love the nite lit moon! Just beautiful!
Holy goodness gracious, it’s fabulous! The inking, the dies, all of it. I’m sure glad you finished it because it’s some amazing inspiration. BTW, you have to quit sending me all over the place looking at stuff. I whiled away quite a bit of time looking at envelopes. Sheesh! Bookmarked!
Oh what a great card! I love all the details! So many great dies! I also get most of my refills of paper, markers, pencils, etc from Dick Blick. They have excellent prices! Thanks for sharing! 🙂
