Welcome and THANKS for visiting my blog today! I’m featuring this NEW Thanks Cutting Plate die from Taylored Expressions September Release that will be available for purchase this Thursday, Release Day. Love it!
Here’s what I did for this card…I die cut the Thanks Cutting Plate two times out of watercolor paper. I cut the card base from TE Premium Cookie Monster card-stock but cut it short…a lot short! only ⅛ inch past the 4 ¼ inch crease line.
The ⅛ th inch part of the card base I sandwiched between the top of the two Thanks Cutting Plate die cuts, sort of a hinge so to speak. That allowed me to have a see through card front but sturdy enough to stand on it’s own because of the two layers of watercolor paper glued together. Very cool…wish you could see it in real life!
Then I watercolored the whole thing with Zig Clean Color Brush pens and a water brush.
For this card, I did my embedding technique for intricate dies. (pull down under the video tab above to see, Adhering Intricate Dies)
I inked the whole thing after embedding with Gathered Twigs Distress ink and the ink blending tool and then pounced on a little Delicata Gold ink pad with a big sponge dauber tool.
Some twine and then adhered to a TE Buttercream card-stock card base.
That’s my show and tell for today! You’ll want to click over to the TE blog to see what the other gals have been up to AND to read all about TE’s 8th birthday celebration!

Wow! What an intricate design. Love them both.
Wow-so pretty!!! I keep trying to watercolor-but not having the best luck. I bought some new brushes yesterday-maybe that will help-ha ha!!!!
I like it when you show and tell, dear friend! These cards are both beautiful! I’m a lover of all things Kraft, so I’m really excited about the second one, but oh my goodness, look at all of that beautiful coloring on the first one! Thanks for sharing 🙂
I like the fact that you have a pull down to explain the embedded technique. I saw the first card and liked it and then I saw the impact of the second card and was blown away. LOVED the second card – so straightforward and simple but so elegant in how you chose to put it all together.
As always Pam…beautiful works….The THANKS is a really nice one…
Oh wow! You are such a clever girl you!! And that looks amazing! What a fun card! Your watercoloring on that new die looks so pretty! I want to try this! The spark, yes the spark, it’s down there 🙂 heheh!
Oh I totally left out your second card, because I was so enthralled with the first one! haha! It’s really pretty too! Looks so fall-ish in those neutral tones! Gorgeous!!
WOW… Pam, they are gorgeous and colorful! Love the texture and details on each of the card.
Beautiful cards. The watercoloring is so pretty.
Lovin’ the Thanks Cutting Plate and how you colored it. Fabulous!!!
Great use of the positive and stunning color!!!
Thanks for sharing with us! So very nicely done on both!
The “Thanks” card is so colorful. Your water coloring is beautiful. The other card is so perfect for fall.
love both cards…i am partial to embedded die cuts so the second one is a fave! BUT you are one clever woman how you anchored the first die cut to the base! great!
Oh how pretty – love the cooper embossed caard but the water coloring is spectacular – zig water color pens are on my wish list along with a Big Shot, an air brush, hmmm….on and on and it never ends. Someone I know is an enabler!!! Just kidding.
OMGoodness Pam, these are the prettiest Autumn cards and die ever! The colors are so beautiful. Both cards are richly done and really expresses the meaning of “thanks”. Your artwork is awesome Pam. Thanks for sharing Pam!
Great cards! I’m loving the cookie monster color underneath!
I’m a sucker for anything that “cookie monster” color! I’m excited to try their inks as I just love the T.E. colors. This is such a cool tecqunique and sure gives a good wow effect!
Oh my goodness Pam. This is so elegant! Love it! 🙂
Love your cards. The top one is just gorgeous. Thanks for the info on putting it together.
These are beautiful cards! Love the pop of color on the first one and the subtle tones on the second one.
Ooooh, pretty with all the color! I love the way you did the fold, too. Also, I watched your video. Picked up some tips for a different way to do things. I really like the idea of running it through again with the embossing mat. I have a different type of Big Shot, but same idea. I’ll probably watch it again. Thanks!
You are very talented. Love the different uses for the dies you demonstrated. Thanks for the inspiration
Gorgeous die… and you’ve done a fantastic job of showing just how beautiful it can look.
And you did it two ways 🙂
Oh wow these both look just fantastic, I love seeing it done two different ways, such great ideas, your coloring is just gorgeous and the second one has a great Autumn feel to it!!
