You can plan a BBQ even if it’s not your birthday though! Celebrate Summer with a fun scene card!
I cut a white piece of card-stock 4.25 in. x 11 in., scored and folded it for a top fold card base. Top fold cards are the easiest to photograph and another photo tip, if you’re using natural light, be sure to pull up the blinds! Open blinds let in light but you’ll be amazed how much better it is when you pull them all the way up and out of the way! Your camera will thank you! lol
oops! Got off track there for a minute, back to the card!
I die cut the Circle Forest Scene parts from cold press watercolor paper. Then I watercolored them, the grass/trees with Peerless and the grill, houses and clouds with Zig Clean Color Brush Pens.
The little curvy fence is from the Wide Open Spaces Open Studio die set. I just trimmed off the bottom…perfect fit!
I wish I’d used the Celebrate from this set because it’s just enough larger. I didn’t see it until I’d already stamped this one from poppystamps Into the Words set. ‘It’s your birthday’ is from the same set.
I die cut a circle frame to place over the top from the Shaker Circle Frames die set.
Well, I see I goofed. The Grill has been discontinued!!! I wouldn’t have thought… so think bicycle or golf cart or even the new tractor die! Sorry about that!
All that’s left to do is layer everything up! I use ATG, Tombow mono multi glue, thin and regular 3L/Scrapbook Adhesives mounting squares.
Happy Summer day to you! Hope the weather is treating you right! haha Thanks for stopping by! TTUL!

Well, now….what time is dinner? Looks like a great neighborhood event – I’m on my way! Seriously, Pam – this is the cutest card ever! Great job, as always, dear friend!
Perfect card for this time of year. I didn’t know that the bbq die was discontinued. Really enjoyed your card.
Love this layout Pam. Great coloring!
Great masculine birthday card, especially for this time of year!
Oh so cute!
That is just the cutest card, too bad the grill is discontinued as it fits perfectly with the scene.
How cute is this card! The BBQ grill is so adorable, but I can see how other outdoor dies can work. I love the colors…heck, I love every card you make! Wonderful card Pam.
This is so cute. I love little scenes, especially all the outdoor forest like ones. I was out in the national forest all morning riding. Hope you’ll do another horsey one some day.
Totally cute – and you are right you could use a bike, tractor or even a doggie in place of the bbq grill. Hubby is getting ready to put the burgers on now.
Cute Pam, this would also be a great creation for a BBQ invitation.;-)
Thanks so much for sharing
Mmmmmm BBQ !!! Are you going to invite us all over !!! Cute card.
This is so cute. Too bad about the die.
Super cute card Miss Pam.. Love this little scene & you’re stirring up all kinds of ideas in my head … Now if you could just give me a shove to quick start my mojo I would be ever so happy …
Wow!!!! I love this bbq card!! the houses are perfect inked like that!! They wouldn’t have looked as good if you would have just cut (red) cardstock. How awesome this card is!
Well this is just so cute that EVERYONE will now want that discontinued BBQ…..including me. ha ha This is a perfect summer scene & a fantastic card!
Oh my goodness what a darling little scene!! I just love the little grill out in front! Wonderful how you watercolored all of your die cuts! I haven’t tried that! Putting it on my list!!
