Memorial Day…reflect…be thankful…
I don’t know about you but it’s rare I sit and look back. So many memories and yes I’m thankful! Yesterday we went to a Civil War Reenactment that our grandson participated in. History brought to life. So many things going through my mind now.
On the fun side though, they started the afternoon with a fashion show. They showed and talked about the ‘ins and outs’ of dressing in that era. The hoop skirts…what a contrast to the skin tight jeans of today. eek! Glad I can be in the middle and be comfortable!
oh cards… yes, I have two to share today! lol Both are from the May Release at Taylored Expressions.
I die cut the new Starry Night Cutting plate in kraft card-stock and layered it to a navy, top folded A-2 size card base.
I embossed the new Brick embossing folder in red card-stock and then ran it through the Big Shot to die cut it with the new Build a Tag 4 die set. Stitched edges… love! It smashed the brick a little but I had inked one side of the folder with fired brick distress ink so I kinda like how it turned out!
I die cut the bell in gray from the new Patriotic treat toppers die set. Layered it on navy card-stock and mounted it to the tag with thin 3L mounting squares.
I stamped along the bottom of the tag with the word celebrate stamp from a TE Christmas set, A Winter View.
I glued on Studio Calico wood stars for embellishing and Lawn Fawn twine and hemp to finish off the tag.
Doodlebug Washi tape for the rainbow tea party and birthday party CAS cards I made… so fun… I know, it’s looks like I spent 10 minutes but actually I messed around for a few hours to get to these two cards! lol
Here I used the new Block Party die and Eventful Birthday Party die. I put washi on a piece of white card and die cut it for the background behind the gifts. I love how it turned out!
This one I used just a part of the new Eventful Tea Party Border die. Glad I don’t have to pick a favorite! love them all!

OH!!!!!! THESE ARE SO CUTE!!!!!!!!.i love the colors
Had to laugh-I could fiddle with a simple card forever too! Simple CAS cards can certainly take some deep thinking! Sounds like you had a fun day! I spent the day cleaning, so I would rather have been hanging with you!
Love the various textures, shapes, and colors in that first one. This one very appropriate with that
Patriotic look this week end for our soldiers, sailors, and airmen. The others were fun and enjoyed them
so much when you brought them to club.
Love the patriotic themes on #1. Wonderful dies & marvelous textures too. #2 is so bright & with such cheery colors…just very happy indeed. TFS
So glad you got to get out with the grandkids! Your cards are amazing!! I love the first one with the brick textured tag! So wonderful! The second two are so bright and cheery! Love those colors and yes, I can see my self spending way more time on a CAS card than one with lots of stuff!! haha!
Just love the Liberty Bell die, and the card is perfectly thought out with all the glory colors for Memorial Day! As for the Party cards, I’m in awe of what washi tape can work it’s wonders…of course if you have a creative mind like you Pam. Great fabulous cards, I love them all!
Your card is just perfect!!! Thanks for playing along with us at Scrapy Land Challenge #18!
Love the “liberty bell” – and the second two are real eye catchers with bright fun colors. I’ve been looking for a die style like this so just might have to go check them out. Glad you got to spend some time away from the “craft desk” and enjoy the grand kids.
I can just see you struggle with a CAS card !!!! All the cards are great. Have a great Memorial Day.
Hey! I think I have told you a zillion times – you are the Queen of die cut designs and masterful makes!

Love them both, but that tea party card makes me smile! Love the pretty bright stripes bordering the word. Great job!
Love your patriotic tag, such wonderful detail. Isn’t it funny how a card can look simple but it had taken a lot longer than more involved looking cards. They are so fun looking!

I know what you mean about spending a lot of time for a card that looks “simple”. I tend to be like that, too.
Love your cards – wonderful combination of textures, colours and ideas.
