Sweet November Patriotic Betsy…

Rah, Rah, Rah!   It’s daytime,  so I made pinwheels instead of keeping with sparklers, for Sweet November Patriotic Pixie Betsy!  I ❤ them! I used a 5/8 inch square punch to punch the double sided pattern paper… poked a hole in the center of the square… cut up toward the hole from each corner… then folded one tip from each corner up to meet the center hole.  When I put in the teeny 1/16th in brads,  I caught those tips and kept them under the brad.

It’s June Release Tuesday Review on the All That Scraps Blog today, HERE.  If you want to see lot of fabulous designing… click over!  You won’t be disappointed!

Betsy is inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Hammermill Color Copy 80# Cover card-stock,  cut out and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  Hair – E50, 30, 23, 25, 27, 29,  Skin – E0000, 000, 00, 21, Cheeks – R20 diluted with R00, Red – R24, 27, 29, 59,  Skirt – B91, 93, 95, 97, 99.

I used CC Designs Butterflies Postage set (images stamped with Pumice Stone Distress ink), It’s Your Birthday Sentiment set and Beach sentiments set (stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink).  I did use my Stamp a ma jig to position the sentiments.

The pattern paper is from K & Company. One of their little pads they make and say they’re for matting photos. I’ve had it for a couple years though… sorry… it’s a good one!  I was sure tickled to find it stashed away here!  lol  Edges all inked with Walnut Stain Distress ink and the ink blending tool.  I found an Americana 12×12 paper pad from K & Company online… linked below… not the same thing but might give the older style look…

The little clouds are from the smallest Fiskars cloud punch series… so cute! (the smallest I could find says medium)  I colored them a little with some Warm gray copics…  W0, 1, 3.

The grass is CC Designs Cutters Grass border die!  oh,  I LOVE this die!  I crimped it too… love this little crimper! hehe… sorry gals…JK! lol   I gave it some inking with Peeled Paint Distress ink and the Ink Blending tool.

I used the Perfect Layers 1/8th in. tool to cut the red layer.

Card base is 5 x 7, cut from an 8.5 x 11 sheet of kraft card-stock.  Scored with a Martha Stewart score board.

Challenges I’m linking to…

Fun With Shapes – Summer and use punches or dies (square punch for pinwheels, label punch for sentiment)

The Kraft Journal – use kraft and the Good ‘ol Summertime (kraft card base)

Paper Playtime – Anything Goes and a sentiment

Paper Pretties – Red White and Blue

Simon Says Stamp and Show – a bit of brown
