Silhouette Ladies…

Yesterday I had some creating fun with the new Marianne Designs Creatables dies for MarchAnja’s Rose small corner and Baby Cameo.  I knew what stamp I wanted to use… a Hero Arts wood mounted image I just picked up last weekend at Michaels (I can’t find the exact one to link to, so linking to a similar one),  so I stamped it on the Basic Grey paper added an old Hero Arts sentiment, Style is eternal and the little stamp image on the edges is from a Tattered Angels Traveler clear stamp set.  The perfume bottle one of four stamps on a B Line Designs stamp cube.

The  rose corner is so pretty… there are a few more Anja’s Roses dies in this release…a border, a centerpiece and a large corner… very pretty…

A close up of the corner…

This is the Basic Grey Granola 6×6 paper pad.  The fancy black rose is from Marianne Designs also… comes as a strip of roses and I just cut one off… love the netting that it comes on!  I couldn’t make out the detail of it in my card photos so I took an up close photo and really lightened it. Might have to move your screen to see it… they’re pretty.

Yes,  I used the Perfect Layers Rulers!  I thought about distressing the edges but I do love the straight mat look and I think it lends itself to the look of the classic silhouette ladies too.  HERE is my video about them and there’s another video at the Perfect Layers link in my right sidebar. I used the 1/8th and 1/16th in. on this card.

A fanciful card for a beautiful early Spring day in Iowa!  My DH should be out fishing but instead he’s dealing with a flat tire on his truck and working.  I noticed this a.m. while out picking him up that the weeds are already growing!!!  UGH!  Silly ground ivy… we’ve tried a few things to get rid of it but haven’t been successful.  I hate the idea of chemicals in the yard.  We play out there so much with the grandkids.  So many people walk their dogs by here too… they’re supposed to pick up their poo but they don’t always… ugh,  I hate stepping in it!  Isn’t there something you can put on your grass to keep the dogs from doing it?  Guess I’ll be googling away soon! chuckle!  Oh the joys of living in town on a corner!  I’d rather think about the next card!

ok  – I’ll catch  ‘ya later!
