Spellbinders Bold Color Mix Numbers Cards…

Hi everyone!  Branching away from Christmas today! Birthdays keep coming and January is a busy month for our family when it comes to birthdays!  YAY! As long as it’s not mine! haha!

This is a 5 x 6 size card so I’ll be using an A7 envelope for it.  I tried some stitching for fun….just die cutting and a little stamping.

I used the betterpress dies to stamp the sentiment and th!  I liked the distress look I got doing that!  I taped the dies into the MISTI and inked them up. lol

I inked the edges of almost everything with Distress Gathered Twigs Ink and a mini ink blending tool.

The pattern paper is from the Doodlebug Design Sweetheart 6×6 paper pad.

Next card….

I hot foiled with the Better Press dies….I used the negative/leftover piece of foil from another project because I thought the polka dots would be fun.  But…whoa…what a challenge to get a picture!

It’s Silver foiling for the numbers and the sentiment.

I think I better order a Better Press kit for these solid dies.  I’ve been able to do it with the detail betterpress dies and my die cutting machine, following a video a gal put up on you tube but these solid ones I struggled with.

Still fun and a CAS card…much better IRL!

I absolutely love these numbers and the options for making fun celebratory cards!  I’ll link the sentiment set I wasn’t able to use yet below also…it’s cool too! So many good products and ideas out there to help us make awesome cards!

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my latest attempts at being creative! Talk to you again soon!  I have a couple cards to post that I mailed, I don’t want to post them until they receive them though.  I mailed them Tuesday.   ttul!

Spellbinders Felt Snowman Star Ornament…

Hello everyone!  First I wanted to let you know about this sale!  I don’t know about you but I like these early sales because Thanksgiving day and weekend are so busy!  It’s hard to get this kind of shopping to fit in with all the other activities!

Sharing my super cute Felt Snowman Star Ornament with you today!   So festive and fun!  What a fun addition to my tree or it might end up being a gift to a friend!

It’s even cute on the back!

I die cut everything…pretty much following the designer Nicole’s video HERE.  I did a few things different.  I just left it sewn with a running stitch and didn’t go back and fill in the spaces.

I sewed his eyes on but in handling those pieces the felt starts to shred so I can see why she just did a knot for the eyes on hers.   I like the bigger eyes though….

I stitched on his nose and cheeks.

I only used hot glue to adhere the scarf.  I didn’t stitch clear through front to back.

He’s definitely got personality!  I love it!   I hope you do too!   I have two more from this collection to make up plus a mitten from Memory Box!  Fun!

So thankful for this craft!  One of my dearest friends has passed away.  We shared 30 years of  kindred spirit papercrafting! I will miss you so much Jan! We were always texting each other, did you see this?  did you see that?  lol  Smiling through the tears.

Thank you for stopping by today and email if you have any questions!

Spellbinders Stencil of the Month Club Birthday Card…

Hello!  I know…this is unexpected!  It was kinda fun to switch to a birthday card today!

I wasn’t sure about this stencil set and birthday cake either but it turned out so fun!

I started with picking five colors of oxide ink, Wilted violet, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Cracked Pistachio and Lucky Clover.  Using the brush ink blending tools I set to work!  I use the Wendy Vecchi Magnetic board to do stenciling.

Here’s a close up picture…I used Spellbinders cardstock for the cake and party time sentiment.

I used the Tiny Attacher on the corners of the tag and to hold the ribbon in place.

Spellbinders Nested Mini Label and Nested Postage Labels & Tag dies.

It’s like an eighth of an inch bigger than an A2 size card because I wanted more of the cardbase to show.

Are you familiar with how the Spellbinders Monthly Clubs work?  You can find all the details in my links below that take you to their webstore.  If you purchase the Deluxe Caboodle Value Club membership you receive a monthly bonus item.  This month it’s this ‘Party Time Cake’! So cute!

Thank you so much for stopping by and send me an email if you have any questions!  Now it’s back to Christmas programming! lol

Yana’s Amaryllis Collection from Spellbinders, Two Cards…

Hi everyone!  Two cards to share today!  So very Christmas-y!  Two of the flowers you think of when it’s Christmas….poinsettias and amaryllis.

My first card is the NEW Festive Poinsettias Better Press plate from Spellbinders.

I inked up the plate with black,  impressed it and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Then I colored it with Tombow Brush Markers!  I know!  Not my normal but I’ve seen another fabulous cardmaker using her Tombows so I wanted to get mine back out and color.  I’m surprised they’re still good…over 20 years old!

The green strip of cardstock is darker/richer than it’s showing in my pictures.

I spattered with white acrylic ink and I used a small paintbrush.  All the little white specks are from the spattering.  The plate did impress solid black.  So we have teeny snowflakes today! lol

I feel like I went back in time…heat embossing and then coloring! Oh, I used watercolor paper because I put a little marker on, then pulled it out with a waterbrush.

I really like it.   It’s festive for sure! It’s a more of an A6 size… 4 ½ inches x 6 inches.  It’s flat though so USPS should be really happy about that! haha

Here’s my second card using Yana’s Christmas release…

I die cut Yana’s Amaryllis in gold foil cardstock… wow does it shine!

I die cut the solid background in red cardstock and then impressed the outline die in the solid red cut with the tan mat so the detail would show without having to puzzle piece all the petal pieces back in!

I went over the die cut lines with a red copic just to add a little more dimension.

The background on this card is a black glossy die cut using the Emerald Cut Labels and Tag die set.

Then the 3D embossing folder is NEW also. It’s called Amaryllis Garden.  So pretty!  I embossed it in white cardstock, trimmed it down to 5 x 7 size and used my gray inking brush to go around the edges of the panel.

The sentiments for both of these cards are from the Christmas Die and Glimmer Sentiments Hot Foil and Die set.  I die cut the words in black glossy cardstock and I used black foil for the sub sentiment.

Linking my cards to some challenges…

Color Hues #98 – Red and Black (2nd card)

Can You Handle The Pressure – anything goes using an embossing folder  (2nd card)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – anything goes (1st card)

Die Cut Divas – Any Holiday in the year  (2nd card)

Merry Little Christmas #59 – anything Christmas goes (1st card)

I feel like I should apologize for this being so long.  I see other gals posting two cards at once but it seems like a longer post when I do it! lol  I hope you made it through and got a little inspiration!  I CANNOT believe it’s NOVEMBER 1st!  EEK!  Don’t panic, don’t panic!

It’s cooling off here…the sun was out for a minute. I need to decide if I can hang my plants back out.  This time of year is so hard for me.  I hate having to take all my ferns down.  So sad!

Have a great weekend everyone!  Happy cardmaking!

Here’s shopping links for the products I used to make these two cards…. thank you so much for tapping/clicking through…I appreciate it!

Spellbinders October Stencil of the Month Club Card…

Hi everyone!  The stencil of the month club is so fun this month!  I used two of the stencils to make this background, the other stencils in the set make an ornament background.  So fun.  I could’ve use this design on the ornaments too.  Ppl come up with the greatest ideas!  I need to make another card! lol

Curious about the Spellbinders Monthly Clubs? I love how they are set up… join and cancel anytime but most of the time you’re gonna want them! lol  Check them out HERE!

I just used ink pads and inked through the stencils in red and then in green on white cardstock.  It was so white I had to age it with Vintage Photo Distress ink and a blending brush, than the very edge with Walnut Stain Distress ink.  I love this look!  Smiling… I know you’re remembering this about me. lol

I die cut the Holly branch twice and glued them together, then cut a bunch of berries from the Poinsettia Spray die set.

I didn’t like it directly on the stenciled panel so I cut a piece of vellum and aged it with Vintage Photo Distress ink also.  I mounted the holly branch to the vellum with the thin mounting tape I love, linked below.  Then I used glue on the back for the vellum on the areas the branch and leaves covered so you wouldn’t see the glue from the front.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Sentiments Betterpress Plate and Die set.  I foiled it though with gold foil on red cardstock.  So pretty!

I wish I could show you in person because it’s so much more vintage/antique looking IRL!  In the photos it looks white but it’s not.  It’s so nice to be able to take photographs of everything but they never do the real thing complete justice. lol   I love it!

Have a great rest of the weekend friends and cardmakers!  Thankful for every minute.  A horrible car/tractor accident a couple miles from our small city last night.  So awful.  Just four years ago it was our youngest daughter that died this month.  I’m probably more sensitive to it this month.

My wonderful husband just made me some more shelves so I’m rearranging and need to sort and re-bin this 30 year collection of stuff! I get to work and forget I need to be doing other things too!

I’m don’t like facing the fact that I’m a stamp/die/paper addict! lol  Fortunately it’s the only thing I collect!  whew! lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Enjoy every moment!
