Tilda Birthday Card…

AmandaB-dayMar10

Happy Weekend and finally getting Amanda’s birthday card made!  Only a month late!  I’m the mom,  so I can be late…yikes!  lol  This one took a few days…struggled trying to figure out what to do with that present punch.  Tried coloring on a new card-stock that a friend sent… fun!  I like it a lot…Papertrey Ink!   Trickier to cut out the heavier weight stock but otherwise I love how it colors up!

  • Tilda with Gifts
  • Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
  • Colored with Copic Sketch Markers
  • Basic Grey Kioshi 6×6 paper pad
  • Martha Stewart present punch – I punched in white card-stock and colored all the presents, then gave it the scratchy look with Stampin Up’s Sanded background stamp
  • EK Success small scallop border punch
  • Happy Birthday circle that I’ve had forever but it’s so fun pulling out the stamps I haven’t used in some time!  From Cat’s Life Press
  • ribbon is from May Arts

I actually finished the inside of this card! Then I had to go and forget to take a picture of it! I used some of the coordinating pattern paper from the pad and a cool stamp from Printworks (sale going on right now,  email me for the newsletter).

Catch you later!

All That Scraps Weekly Wed. Challenge…

4479922496_1a10ea8c46_o

Spring Bling is the challenge to us today at All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog!

I used C.C. Designs Sweet November Baby Bunnies Butterfly and a fence from the new Spring kit rubber stamps. Inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch markers.

  • Bunny & flowers Y32, 35, 38
  • Flowers R 21, 22, 24
  • Butterfly and flowers BV01, 11, 31
  • Fence E41, 43, 44
  • Grass G82, 85, 99
  • Hair E50, 53, 55, 57

My bits of bling are in the form of gemstones from Hero Arts for the flower centers and Stickles Frosted Lace glitter glue on the butterfly perched on Baby Bunny’s nose!  I think the flowers scattered all over the background paper count for bling too! New Basic Grey 6×6 pattern paper and the bird border punch by Martha Stewart.  Have Faith sentiment stamp is from a set by The Greeting Farm.  I inked the edges with Bundled Sage and milled lavendar distress inks and the ink blending tool.

Thank YOU Very Much…

Have you heard that there’s a Royal Battle going on over at The Greeting Farm? The Royal Battle is a battle of teams, and depends entirely on VOTING. It goes like this: there are teams of three to five players. Each Wednesday a new Battle challenge is issued. One of the team members has to make a card to meet the Battle challenge. Folks have a chance to vote for three cards each week. The top half with the most votes moves to the next Battle. Each team member has to take one turn. Hopefully, we make it to the final round and a chance to win a big prize.

The first week is to make a retro card – team member Lisa made the card this time for our group, the Card Sprouts!  She did a great job,  we would love your vote! You can cast your votes here (b/4 midnight tonight) by leaving a comment! So,  I made this card to “thank you very much” for voting!

  • images (boy, girl and sentiment) from CC designs Spring Swiss Pixies kit – so glad I bought it!
  • stamping done in Memento Tuxedo Black ink
  • coloring with Copic Sketch Markers
  • Butterflies and grass are Martha Stewart punches – to make the butterfly antennae, I cut a very narrow strip of dark brown card-stock and then wrapped it around the middle of each butterfly and twisted them at the very top and put a teeny dab of glue on the back side
  • pattern paper from October Afternoon – LOVE their paper lines…
  • tonic trimmer, with this many layers in a sketch I NEED the best for cutting!
  • Stamp a ma jig for perfect placement of the “Happy Spring” sentiment
  • Ink blending tool and Distress inks for all the edges of the paper and around the window frame
  • the window frame is cut with an Accucut die for the A7 convert a die set

Thanks Janneke for a fun and challenging sketch!  Hope you can play a long with us this week and thanks for stopping by and making my day with your comments!!!
