Violets for you…

Welcome to Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge 65 – this week, a sketch with a spin…Korin says to use a tag!

I used my new Magnolia Doohickey tag and border Dies HERE, Basic Grey Kioshi 6×6 pad HERE, Doodlebug flowers, Violet Plant F1770 and sentiment stamps from Printworks HERE.  I can’t find the violets on the site, so just write that in when you order in the comments and Nicole will add it to your order and send you a paypal invoice.  This is an “odd” size card…I’ve been making my own envelopes with 12×12 card-stock and I love it!  The Martha Stewart scoring board HERE has an envelope making guide and it is awesome!  I just “wing” it,   you know,  kinda like making soup! lol   Really though,  there are great directions and measurements right on the tool!  I did use the Ink Blending tool and Distress ink HERE on the edges of the tag and some of the papers. An awesome sketch and I love the violets on the tag!  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink HERE and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  (G20’s and BV0’s).

We’d love to have you join us this week for a sketch with a spin! Happy Weekend!

Lazy afternoon…

Cute Nora colored with all the Warm gray Copic Sketch Markers.  I used Basic Grey’s Scarlet Letter 6×6 pattern paper pad, EK Success wide staples and small retro flower punch,  Martha Stewart branch border punch,  black pearls and the sentiment is from a CC Designs.  Almost forgot the scenery again!  It’s a CC Designs set.

I started out coloring pretty much everything,  even the sky with W00, then added in each color up to W9 and then retraced my steps back down from W9 to W00!  I have a couple other cards on my blog colored like this too… Here and Here.  I love this “style” of coloring.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday

Color Me Copic blog is having their first challenge with black and white coloring.  There is even a tutorial…(although she colors different than I do…I color light to dark and retrace my steps and don’t use the blender pen for coloring)…really cute cards…so fun to see what others are doing to get a similar look!

Thanks for stopping in!  ttul!

Look what I did today….

I ordered the Magnolia DooHickey dies and they came today!!!  I LOVE them!  I set out to use ALL FOUR of them on the same card,  for the #100 Color Throwdown Challenge blog!  All That Scraps is one of the sponsors for this challenge so I just had to play! lol   I’m so tickled with myself that I actually used a purchase the same day as I received it!  This is a very rare occurrence! lol   I used the leaf and swirl, tag, border and flower dies,  all from Magnolia HERE.  The texture background is a cuttlebug embossing folder.

If you are having trouble deciding whether to order these dies my advice would be to go for it!  It helped me to see a gal’s card using two of them,  so here’s hoping seeing my card w/all four will help you decide!  oh eek!  hopefully I won’t scare you off! lol

The Thinking of You stamp is HERE. Can’t wait to hear what you think!  I can’t decide if I have a favorite of the four….glad I just got them all!  oh no…what will they come out with next!  I’m sure it will be good! lol

Cherish this day…

Mornin’ – Saturday already!  Sweet Stop Sketch time!  Don’t fall off your “chair”! lol  Hardly any coloring here…subtle copic coloring for sure! lol   The comfy chair is part of Printworks latest release, go HERE and click on “new releases”.    I liked using the word “cherish” with the chair, not sure if this one is still available but I really liked the new one “cherish Life’s Moments” but I don’t have it.  It’s on the same page as the chair at the above link.   Stella Ruby Basic Grey 6×6 pad pattern paper….EK Success border punch…Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Versafine Onyx Black for the flower flourishes HERE by the sentiment.  Bazzill and Prism card-stock for the rest…the final size is 6×6 inches.

Hope you can play a long with us in the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge this week…I loved this one!  Korin is a great sketch creator!  Here’s the sketch…take the challenge!!!  Hope to see you there!

Totally Tilda…

I love the name of this new challenge blog… Totally Tilda!  I just had to make time to play along this first week and I hope to keep up with all their challenges… that’s a bit lofty for me but I’ll try!  The first theme is “Chocolate”, rich browns and creams with a dash of color.  I started out with this older Basic Grey paper and the paper ribbon doilies HERE from Basic Grey Capella release.  Tilda and the Garden Gate are both in stock HERE.  I did cut everything out… oh my what was I thinking but I really enjoy cutting! So no biggie!  Some older Prima flowers and the punch center from the Punch Bunch,  Martha Stewart butterflies, “thinking of you” stamps is from Penny Black  and Stampin Up Melon Mambo card-stock.  OH,  don’t forget the nestabilities dies… HERE.  Tilda and the Garden Gate are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used the E50’s and that is all.  That one cheek got a little “bit” too much color IMO…oh bummer…some colors just don’t come off either!!! lol  Oh well,  it was fun,  I’ve been wanting to try the sepia look!   I’m also linking to the Cards Blog for their Monochromatic coloring challenge!  oh happy stamping, cutting and coloring! Isn’t it amazing how the stamping world has grown!

see ‘ya later!
