SEWING! I love to sew….sewed for years, cross-stitch, clothes and then quilting. I don’t do it near as much since I started rubber stamping!

Week #25 on All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge Blog is to use “distressing” in your creation. The paper I used already has the distressed feel to it and then I used ink and the Tim Holtz distressing tool to distress it even more!

I used the sketch for this card from the Sketch and Stash Challenge Blog (Monday) and the challenge to use something new, never used or neglected from your stash.  That pretty much covers the whole card!!! lol  New, would be the stamp for sure!

Papertake Weekly Challenge Blog (Tuesday) wants a Cutie Pie… Kiki is that!  well a Cutie Cake anyway!

Creative Card Crew (Tuesday) theme is “Happy Birthday”…

This week the challenge for All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge Blog is to “shape it up”! Well, that’s not really how she put it but we are doing shaped cards…it’s fun to think “out of the box”!

Join the challenge by creating a different shape card than you normally would do! So many awesome stamps to choose from at All That Scraps!

Here’s a close up picture of the new release Swiss Pixie Nora on the Swing, available tonight at 10 p.m.!

  • Nora is stamped with Memento Black Tuxedo ink on Neenah Classic Crest Super-smooth card-stock
  • colored with Copic Sketch Markers – hair E50, YR31, 21, 23, 24  skin E000, 00, 01, R00, R20 limb E 55, 57, 59  shirt, wings, flower border, butterflies, socks RV00, 10, 19  jeans B91, 93
  • My Minds Eye Quite Contrary pattern papers
  • The tree in the background is cut on the Cricut with the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge
  • EK Success flower border punch – I accordion folded it for dimension
  • Martha Stewart grass border punch and butterflies punch
  • All Night Media wood grain stamp used on the truck of the tree, stamped with Adirondack Espresso ink
  • Frosted Lace stickles on her wings and socks
  • I used a big circle coluzzle temple and cutting system to get my circles….do any of you like the Martha Stewart circle cutter?

is preachin’, “Chocolate: It’s not just for Breakfast….and I couldn’t agree more!!!  The Challenge on ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog this week is to create something you could use for Valentine packaging. I used an Accucut heart box die that is just the right size for my Green and Blacks organic 70% Dark Chocolate bar.  Amazing chocolate,  my fave!

The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Stampin Up Soft Suede.  The Queen of Hearts, from CC Designs is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers, photo below. I used a clear spica pen on her crown, it’s sparkly! Papers are My Mind’s Eye,  Love Me Do.  I know you’re all thinking, stamping Valentines,  so come join the fun…great prize too!

Cocoa Emma for the ATS challenge…

The Challenge at ATS blog this time is snowflakes…I wanted to play, so I got busy this afternoon and made a BIG snowflake to sit Emma on while she kept warm with her cocoa.

The snowflake is a Sizzix originals die, the stamp is from CC Designs, the glitter on the snowflake is from a set of Martha S. glitters, the taffeta ribbon is from Stampin Up in white and I colored it with copic sketch marker G85, and yes, I snuck in that pine needle border punch again from Martha S!!!
Emma is colored with my copic sketch markers.

Think that’s it! I better quit for a minute and get some cards mailed! Why is it so much easier to make them than to get them sent off!!!! *sigh* I need an elf for a few days…
