Hello everyone! I didn’t plan to post a sympathy card because it’s Memorial Day but it does seem appropriate!
So many loved ones gone before us.
I used a fun layering stencil set from Altenew for the focal image on my card today. A couple years ago I won a contest or something with Altenew and I purchased this set with the gift card I won. I’m just now using it! eek!
I’m loving this technique of inking/coloring flowers with stencils though.
This one was a little tricky at first. I did the stenciling and then die cut and it didn’t match up at all! So I switched and die cut my white cardstock first, then stenciled on the die cut! It worked perfect because I could adjust.
I used the Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion to stencil! Love this thing…so handy and holds things in place so well. (linked below, I use the big one, there’s a mini also)
I linked the ink colors I used below. I used the pinks to ink the cardstock I die cut the sentiment with so it would match the big pink flower.
I used the Memory Box A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set to make the frame. This set will cut regular rectangles if you take them off the adhesive they come on. I left them all attached so that the set cuts several sizes of frames then!
Poppystamps Lattice Plate for the background on the kraft color cardstock. I can’t remember which kraft I used and I already mailed the card. I think it’s the Neenah brand though which several companies sell. I linked to a few.
This is an A2 size card but I think it’d be really nice on a larger size also. Fun… I loved the Altenew samples so I will be using this again and again! In fact I have one more ready to put on a card! lol

Oooh, a pretty combo with flowers and lattice! Your stenciling looks perfect. I finally ordered a flower stencil with embossing folder, and the folder is sold out. Waiting for notification… quite a while. Not that I’d rush to use it immediately. You know how I am, tsk. I’m glad you’re on a card making frenzy and I’m looking forward to those June birthday cards!
Ooo . . . this is beautiful!! I love your stenciling and the lattice in the background! I also love that layered sentiment die cut; so pretty! Thanks for playing with Cut It Up Challenge.
