Hi everyone! Still in CAS mode…but let’s try black! I die cut the butterflies and the NEW Thank You Breezy Script from some brayered cardstock. That was brave of me! lol
Remember the Kaleidacolor ink pads from Tsukineko? Scroll through them HERE. I have a bunch of them and I made a bunch of these backgrounds a couple years ago. I didn’t write on the backs what pad I used though! Just use any of them. They all turn out wonderful!
This is the one I used for the butterflies and the sentiment.
I die cut the black rectangle for the front with the Memory Box A2 Rectangle Frames Die Set.
I die cut the Thank You Breezy Script Shadow die in the black panel. You’ll need a piece of black behind it when you mount it to your card.
I mounted the panel to the white A2 cardbase with the thin mounting tape I love so much! I use a non stick scissors to cut it…it’s sticky!
Glue the butterflies together…glue the sentiment into the opening created by die cutting the sentiment shadow die.
I added a couple gems to the butterfly from the Memory Box Bright set.
I wish you could see it in person… Black is always striking but photographing with either kind of light washes it out!
That’s it! Holler if you have any questions! Go and get inky! lol
ttul,

Here’s what I used to make this CAS card…

What a cute card Pam! I agree, black is hard to photograph! I love the colorful sentiment! Those butterflies are adorable too! Thanks for sharing!
These butterflies are beautiful – and the black color is so dramatic and elegant!!
You’re right — your black background provides the best stunning accent to the beautiful butterflies!
So pretty-as are all your cards!! Got to have more nieces over for card making! Well actually great and great-great nieces! So much fun! Kids are amazing and just make the cutest cards!!
Very elegant card, great idea to use the Kaleidacolor ink pads we have around!
