Lawn Fawn On the Beach Birthday Card….

It’s Friday and somebody’s birthday somewhere! haha  This card was for a grandson that has a hammock in the backyard and loves it!  As close to a beach as you can get in Iowa! lol

Some faux sand and water on this card but the sky is real! We’ve had some beautiful blue skies the last month.   I inked them all with Distress Oxide inks.  I haven’t figured out the trick to doing spatters over oxide inks, to keep the spatters smallish.  I even let the ink dry before I spattered.   The kinda black spots were Hero Arts liquid watercolor paint, I’ll have to try something else for black next time. If you have a good black method, let me know!  Holler if you want to know what colors I used and I”ll try to remember.

So fun… the ‘shades’!

Here’s what I used… shopping links in the right sidebar if you want to look for these products at Scrapbook.com (15% off cardmaking supplies today) or Simon Says Stamp.  Thank you!  I appreciate it!  I have stamp club today and I’m almost ready…I made some card kits for the gals to make up.  It’ll be fun but there went my time! hehe

It feels good to be using some of the stash!  So I challenge you to make a card with your stash before you go shopping!  I have two more birthday cards to show and I’m working on a poppystamps Christmas card!  It’s really turning out cool, if I do say so myself so stay tuned! ttul!
