Stampendous Fresh Peony card…

Hi everyone! When I was growing up we had a lot of peony bushes in our yard. My parents liked to use them on Memorial Day. I’m loving all the peony craze in stamps but I’m not getting the ones I have colored up! Guess it’s enough just to collect them. One of these years we hope to plant some here! Here’s a start anyway, with this pretty Fresh Peony stamp and die set from Stampendous.

Their dies cut right on the line, so I went around with a black marker to make the white edges black.

The oval dies and another label come with the die set! The sentiment is in the stamp set. I used a We R Memory Keepers embossing folder for the background.

A clean and simple card. I spritzed the flower and leaves with water and then colored it with watercolor powder and a little color pencil after it was dry.

Now that I look at this stamp some more, I’m thinking it would be a great one to stamp multiple times, cut up the petals and layer up for a frilly, dimensional floral piece!

This ended up a little over 5 ½ inches square.

I love the bright colors that you used. Really makes the flower stand out and the black outline really finishes it off.

Peonies are one of my favorites too!! We have three-light pink-dark red and white. We keep missing their peak-cause we go to Colorado over Memorial Day a lot of the time. Beautiful card!! I might have to have that one too!!

Oh what a pretty card! I, too, love peonies! We planted two sprouts when we moved into our home almost 30 years ago and now we have 2 very full bushes with beautiful flowers. I love them! 😀
