Hi everyone! What did I do on a cold Winter’s day? Stitch of course! I’m using the NEW Memory Box Plush Heart Pocket die today with card-stock and felt but I’m going to post the felt pocket tomorrow. I love how easy they are to stitch when the holes are already perfectly placed! happy happy!
This one is die cut in cardstock and backstitched. No stuffing inside. Before I stitched them together though, I die cut the Memory Box Clementine Heart in one of the plush hearts. I was lucky and all the pieces stayed on the cutting plate and not in the die! yippee! lol So I held it tight to the cutting plate, turned it over and slid it off so I could scotch tape the back. Then I was able to remove the light pink frame leaving the inside pink pieces stuck to the tape. Then I die cut the Clementine heart again in mint green and pieced the frame back in. Fortunately the scotch tape releases what you want it to because I don’t press it down real hard until I’m done.
I die cut the small heart button that comes with the Plush Heart Pocket die set three times, glued them together, thread through the holes and knotted.
Here’s the back side…
I put the pocket die cut piece on the back. I cut a smallish card to put in the pocket, similar to a gift card size. Perfect for the times you want a special gift card holder!
I stamped the image and sentiment from the NEW Memory Box Springtime Bunnies set, with mint Colorbox pigment ink.
The bow is where my thread ends met from stitching. Triple cut and glued together the heart button again, in the mint color cardstock.
Fortunately the sun was out today and helped warm the house up… eek… waking up to zero degree weather…let’s just say, I didn’t have any trouble staying inside today!
Thanks for stopping by! Holler if you have any questions!

Love, live the tiny heart with string on back!
So very cute, Pam!!!
Love the heart with the insert and the on trend colors. Really nice
This is soooo pretty and the colors you used really show off the beautiful dies. Do you hand stitch this or use a sewing machine? Not sure what you meant about back stitching. Maybe I should read it again. Beautiful job!!!
Still really cold here and it’s getting colder over the next several days. Had 1″ of rain during the night last night, but the sun finally came back out this afternoon….you stay warm….we benefit when you have to stay indoors. LOL Thanks.
One more question…is there anything else different about the plush dies besides the stitching holes? Do they otherwise cut like regular dies?
Really cute! Love your hand stitching and the colors. Can’t wait to see this made out of the felt. Fun!
Love this-never thought to use Clementine heart die this way…thanks for sharing.
Love all the detailing you put into this Plush Heart Packet. I love the pretty colors too! The tiny heart you die cut 3 times looks just like a real button. I had to look twice to see if it was a real button. I like how you stitched the border of the heart then added another die cut heart button on the back tied to the string bow. Lastly, the cute eyelet edge on the pocket really gives the final touch. Very nicely done Pam!
So pretty! Would be awesome to receive something in those wonderful hearts — love the Clementine!
Beautifully done, Pam!
Oh my goodness Pam…

Oh man your stitching is perfect!! That is SO pretty!! I love the textured card stock and the inlaid die cut! This is just gorgeous!!
This is lovely, Pam – I also have to comment on your perfect stitching, amazing! Love this idea with the pocket, will be looking out for this die.
Oh so cute Pam! I love that die! 🙂
I actually said OHHH That’s pretty out loud when I saw this…then had to look around to see who saw me talking to myself LOL!!!
Pretty valentine. I wondered what the stitching would look like on paper, and it looks awesome. I’m still using felt with my snowmen and mittens. I’ll have to try stitching them on paper, too. Thanks for the continued inspiration!
You stitch so perfectly, Pam. Love your attention to detail. X
