Prim Poppy Goes Postal…

PamSparksPrimPoppyAirmail650

Hello!  My ‘Day 4’ card for the Stenciled Online Class.

I dry embossed using Mister Huey’s Chevron Stencil…ran it through the Big Shot like this… multi purpose platform tab 1, cutting plate, stencil, card-stock, tan mat, 3 to 5 pieces of 65# card-stock for shimming then another cutting plate on top… run it through.   One thing I do if my spray bottle is right there… I spritz with water so it embosses a tad bit more.  Then inked the panel with Walnut Stain Distress ink using the Ink Blending Tool.

Some Little B airmail Washi Tape, an airmail mini envelope from Impress Rubber Stamps.com, some airmail twine, Memory Box Prim Poppy die cut from green and red then pieced together and an old Hero Arts hello stamp!  I used the Tiny Attacher to staple on the sentiment piece.

I hope to make some more from the inspiration shared in this class.  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is just too cute! And such a simple card too! Love the little airmail envelope & who knew they had washi tape to match! That poppy is the perfect way to pop that red & make this just a perfect card!

  2. So very effective! I have the classes, but have not yet had the time to see the videos and do the homework. I’m seeing so many wonderful examples of all the homework though! This one’s a winner for sure. TFS

  3. It all works so wonderfully well together to make a visually pleasing card. I do love the postal look a lot. Now I want to get out my postal related products and give it a try. Thanks for being a good influence!

  4. I just love the green and red on the poppy and the red on the sentiment. Is that paper or distress inks on paper? Fabulous combination of elements!

  5. What a really wonderful card Pam! I wouldn’t think to add the poppies to the postal theme, but it works so fabulously!! I love it!! Beautiful work!

  6. Wow fantastic! I love this postcard style and everything works well together. I would absolutely buy this blue and red washitape too (but they don’t sell this in Switerland – thanks for the link)! I will do my card for day 4 this evening. 🙂

I love hearing from you! Thank YOU!
