Tilda, Family and What’s New!

(E.T.A. 7:25 pm)  WE JUST HAD A SHORT, WILD, WINDY THUNDERSTORM!!!  GUESS WHAT?!  Then bright sunshine and a rainbow… I grabbed my camera and  took this out the window, so it’s not great but how COOL!

Tilda is bringing us a great reminder today, especially since it’s that time of year around here!  This cutie Tilda in Spring Rain is available HERE, part of the Chasing Butterflies Collection.  Colored with Distress Inks available HERE.  EK Success Medium Retro flower punch and leaf punch.  I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher instead of thread in the button holes (I did put them in by hand).  The cute saying is from an Inkadinkado clear stamp set called Friendly advice available HERE,  I still need to get this one HERE,  so cute!  Gingham and polka dot paper is by October Afternoon…scallop ledger paper is from Creative Imaginations.  I edged everything with Antique Linen Distress ink and the ink blending tool (link in sidebar).   Tilda and the sentiment are stamped with Versafine Onyz Black Ink available HERE.

Linking to the Magnolia Down Under Challenge blog today…the theme is polka dots!

Rolled flowers,  hand stitching, stamping, coloring and punching,  oh and a little distressing!

I used quilting thread and a quilting teeny needle (size 12) to backstitch around the oval.  I pierced the holes first.  I need to find a little heavier thread though…last time I did this the thread was too heavy…gotta find that happy medium!  This Lili is so cute licking her ice cream cone – She looks like she could be taking a break from working at a drive up ice cream shoppe…one thing about an ice cream shoppe,  you know it’ll always be cool inside!  So… “have some ice cream”  is from a clear stamp set by Hero Arts HERE.

I tried rolled flowers (how to HERE) …I like it!  A one and a quarter inch circle punch for the larger and one inch for the four smaller flowers. The branch is from the Punch Bunch.  The heart stick pin is from Fancy Pants and the pink heart pearl is from Hero Arts HERE.

You can buy Lili Ice Cream HERE,  the border punch HERE,  the nestabilities oval dies HERE,  stamping ink HERE,  Bazzill 3mm teeny brads HERE,  Copics for coloring HERE and the Tim Holtz distressing tool HERE.

A Splendid Adventure….

Honey Sailor is setting out to travel/explore…a Splendid Adventure!

This week for All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog,  Janneke created a sketch for us to follow.  Thanks to Janneke’s inspiration and ideas, I’m learning to love using sketches!  I started from the base up for today’s card.  Picked three colors of Bazzill monochromatic card-stocks, my favorite ever kraft and set out to conquer this sketch challenge!  Yep a splendid adventure indeed…I had fun! lol

We’d LOVE to have you join us in the challenge this week…here is what you’ll want to know to play…

  • your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store
  • one entry per person
  • you have until 10 p.m. EST Tuesday June 1st to load to Mr. Linky on the challenge blog
  • use Janneke’s sketch on your card or project
  • Have FUN!

I stamped Honey Sailor from CC Designs with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers.  Cuttlebug 2×6 dies for the beach elements….EK Success border punch.  A Splendid Adventure is a Stampers Anonymous stamp…Explore and Travel are from a set by PSX all stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.  I stamped the Sanded background stamp from Stampin Up with Walnut Stain distress ink on the kraft card-stock and elements.  The papers are all edged with Walnut Stain distress ink and the ink blending tool. I “always” work on the craft mat so the ink goes onto the paper from the mat so easily,  much better than working on scrap paper!  really,  it’s amazing and you use less ink and faster!!!  I scored my card base with Martha Stewart’s score board…love it!  So accurate!

Tab has added new stamps this week!!!   CC Designs (Adorable Darby and Penelope that I did last week, Honey and Swiss Pixies and more),  Whiff of Joy and you can pre-order the June, Bon Voyage issue of the Magnolia Ink too! 10% off her already discounted prices! LOVE that! ♥♥♥

Here’s Honey waving good-bye for now!
