Happy Father’s Day…

I just got this truck stamp from Printworks…it made up great for Father’s Day but I think it’ll be fun for many other occasions for men too…especially birthdays.  Can you see it at Christmas with a tree out the back?!!!  I have to work on that idea!!!  I love Christmas!

The inside…

The stamps I used for this scene are all from Printworks Collection. The first three are new and you can see the pdf files of the new stamps  HERE. The truck is JB4020 Country Pickup,  Happy Father’s Day is C4031, My Dad is E4032 (on the inside), Daisy Sprig is C2012, Leaf Pattern is G2475 and my dots for the sand stamp (found it) is so old it was before they used the item code on the wood!  I will try to find it on the online store.  Click HERE to shop for the stamps. Some you will need to type into the comment section when you order and then Nicole will email you the $$ total.  I believe the Leaf Pattern stamp is also in a clear set (found it).  I love how interactive Printworks stamps are and of course Annette’s signature look and hearts!  Look at these fun stamps while you’re at it!  HERE,  HERE and HERE… Aren’t they great?!!!

A close-up…

I stamped the truck first with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then masked and stamped, with the stampamajig, the fishing poles in the back.  The leaf pattern stamp is stamped multiple times with Printworks Citrus, Ivy and Oak Brown stamp pads.   Everything is colored in with Copic Sketch Markers. I used Strathmore Smooth Bristol to stamp this scene on,  matted with Prism dark brown card-stock and the pattern paper is by Basic Grey. I cut all my papers with the Tonic Guillotine trimmer…my fave cutter ever!!!  On the inside I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink on Basic Grey paper and cut it out  and embossed  with a rectangle nestabilities die.

♥ So thankful for Father’s!  Celebrate making memories and remembering good times. ♥  Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Fun, swinging and jumping rope!

Jumping rope and swinging are a popular Spring through Fall activity for myself and the grandchildren!  I just had to have these two adorable Magnolia stamps to create with.  The flowers are from last Summer’s Magnolia Summer Kit.  I masked and used my Stamp a ma jig as I stamped.

A close up of the cute kids…Tilda and Edwin

An angle shot of the frame card design…it’s 7 inches x 7 inches!!! eek! lol

I used Basic Grey Green at Heart papers…

Cracked Glass Challenge…

The Challenge this week on the All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge Blog is the Cracked Glass Technique.  I had to go to the basement and scrounge around to find my “vintage”  UTEE! lol

I love combining CC Designs rubber stamps. Birdhouse is HERE…Field Fence is HERE.  So many creative options.  Of course I used my trusty friend the Stamp a ma jig (link in sidebar) to position the birdhouse on the fence and the sentiment just where I wanted it!  Tim Holtz paper distresser, Distress inks and Ink Blending Tool (links in sidebar)…EK Success small retro flower punch and butterfly punch….small flower punches are from Michaels…gemstones are from Hero Arts (link to 7Kids in sidebar),  paper cord from JoAnn’s.  Bazzill Card-stock,  Kraft card-stock from DMD,  Woodgrain stamp is All Night Media.  Floral Background from a set by Hero Arts.  The images are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers (links in sidebar).  Versamark and UTEE to get the cracked glass effect.

Thanks for checking out my card for today!  Hope you get time to play a long!  It’s a fun look for sure!

Beach Bound Lili and a VW “bug”…

I love this new Beach Bound Lili from Inky Impressions and the new beach stamps from Printworks! I had a lightbulb moment to use them together but then it was challenging because I was looking at the stamps and not how they would stamp!  You know,  the other direction!  So back to square one for a bit there! lol

Lemonade Sorbet for you….

Mornin’  – not sure about Lemonade Sorbet for breakfast but could be yummy & cool later in the day!  I don’t have any though! lol  Not sure they even make such a thing!  I’m too busy stamping to be making it either!  *smile*

Today’s Challenge at All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog is to use ribbon and buttons.  I used ric rac and buttons…the buttons got me off on a sewing streak.  I think I need quilting thread or something heavier in the machine for this thicker type paper.  Regular thread doesn’t show up much and I sewed around the green piece twice!  whine, whine!

Buttons are Daisy D’s…ric rac is Bo Bunny’s…papers are Quite Contrary by My Minds Eye…flower is Stampin Up’s scallop punch… leaf is Stampin Up’s bird branch punch (the wing)

♥ The sketch I used is from the challenge at Sketch and Stamp Challenge Blog (Mon.) this week!
♥ What Summer means to me is the challenge at Our Creative Corner so I had to play along!
♥ Summer Fun is the challenge at Paper Sundaes (Sunday) another great blog!
♥ Summer/Travel is the theme at Stampin’ For the Weekend!  So FUN!

Hope you can play along with us this week in the button and ribbon challenge!  It was fun!  Thanks for dropping in for a visit and ice cream!  ♥ ♥ ♥
