I always want to say,  “WOW,  It’s Wednesday again”!  It sure sneaks up on me fast! lol  I colored Princess Rosie for La-la Lands Weekly Wednesday challenge from Design Team member Lisa…no designer paper.  ok.  I can do that!   Rosie is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah classic crest supersmooth 80# card-stock and colored with copic sketch markers, (photo at the end of the post).

Here she is up close…a real Princess for sure! so sweet!

Visit the La-la Land Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog to see what the other Design Team members created.  I sure had fun…I love to stamp and use stamps…I’ll post a list of what I used.

  • Princess Rosie from La-la Land Crafts
  • Dreams from Printworks, F2857 (I divided the stamp again,  used my stamp a ma jig, I can’t stamp without it!) Inked and stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.
  • Castle from Whipper Snapper, EY825
  • Flourish border from Sandylion, KSTP15 Borders 2, clear stamp set. Inked and stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink.
  • Magnolia grass and clouds background stamp, inked with distress inks, peeled paint and broken china.  I inked and stamped the grass first and then the clouds because I wanted more space between the earth and sky!  I filled in the grass with peeled paint and the ink blending tool.

So many fun challenge blogs out there!  I keep finding more,  so I’ll be linking this card to these challenges…

Thanks for stopping by….later this morning I’ll be posting for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog…so…see ya real soon!  We’re doing Tri-shutter cards today….fun!

La-La’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge #24

LalaHeartFeb10

Time for La-la’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge! This week, design team member Kristine, challenged us to use hearts in our creations. I am using La-la with Heart. She is making me smile, even though this is the third time I am typing this up!!! I don’t usually have trouble but Safari just deleted everything I’d done when I went to schedule this! yikes! So, I will persevere because she is so cute! lol Here she is up close….

lalaHeartFeb10close

I stamped La-la with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copic Sketch markers. Photo below showing what markers I used. She is cut out and mounted on My Minds Eye pattern paper.  This is my favorite Martha Stewart corner and border set punch so far this year! lol  A lot of year left and I’ve seen tons of new stuff coming from them!  I just love the lacey effect the double heart borders create! The three hearts are puff pillow stickers by K & Company. I stamped the sentiment, “Heart Warming Wishes” B3168 from Printworks with Versafine Black Onyx ink on the pattern paper. I aged the edges of all the “parts” with Antique Linen Distress ink and my Ink Blending tool.
Hope you have time to visit the challenge blog and the DT personal blogs to see their heart creations. Join us in using “hearts” this week.

I am entering my card in these challenges also…

La-La Land Crafts Challenge #23

Welcome to La-La’s Weekly Wednesday Challenge. This week Design Team member Kim has challenged us to make a gift card holder. I’m also playing along with the Mojo Monday challenge blog to follow a sketch and make a round card.

winterLaLaJan10

Winter LaLa is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic markers.  The photo below shows the colors I used.

The scallop circles were cut on the Cricut with the mini monograms cartridge.  The size dial set at 5.5 inches.  The inner circle I cut out of October Afternoon pattern paper,  with the coluzzle circle cutting system. Bazzill card-stock and Emagination snowflake punches (probably available from the Punch Bunch now), layered up to give a chipboard effect. The sentiment on the front and inside is one stamp that I  split up to use separately. Using Versafine Onyx black ink and the stampamajig (my extra right hand) I was able to position them both exactly where I wanted them.  It’s a new stamp from Printworks E4004, Smile your heart out!   I love it! I don’t think it’s on their retail site yet so if you’re ordering just add this number to the comment box or call in your order. Link to the retail site is in my blog sidebar.

Next photo is the inside of the card.  I used the Tim Holtz tiny attacher to staple the half scallop circle to the back scallop circle.  The front scallop circle is attached at the top with Tombow mono Multi adhesive.  I scored the top of the back sc. circle at approximately a half inch and that allows you to open the card.

WinterLaLainsideJan10

I used a Martha Stewart snowfall border punch and the aspen snowflake corner punch for the snowflakes you see here.  I know…the only gift card I could find to stick in here as an example was from Cabelas!!! lol  yep,  DH loves to fish!  I color in the boat! lol  I do…it makes me nervous though…sure would hate to see my copics go overboard! lol  Two kinds of stickles on the snowflakes…frosted lace and platinum.

Have fun looking to see what the other Design Team members created…last week’s “fancy fold” cards were awesome!  We’d love to have you join us in the challenge this week….I hope to do better and get around to the blogs to see the entries.  A special offer at La-La Land Crafts – Buy three, get one FREE – between now and January 30th. Purchase three stamps from La-La Land Crafts online store and you will receive a FREE stamp of your choice!! Happy Winter or I should say Happy Weather! lol

sleddinglala3jan10

I stamped Down the slopes Rosie in Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored her with copic sketch markers.  I used Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses pattern papers.  Frosted Lace Stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes and around the sled. The let it snow charm is from my collection,  I think it was from Quest beads.  Martha Stewart snowflake punches…the large one is Himalayan and the medium is ??Alpine??  can’t remember for sure. I throw the packaging away on those! lol  oh and I used her snowfall around the page set also.  I linked to 7Kids so you can see what they have to order. I used a teeny Bazzill pink brad to attach the charm…be watching…7Kids is going to have them in stock soon!

Here’s a close up of the charm and cute Rosie…she reminds me of one of our granddaughters..lol always moving!  AND,  great news…the new release images are available and shipping! There is a special offer at La-La Land Crafts – Buy three, get one FREE!! Between now and January 30th, when you purchase three stamps from La-La Land Crafts online store, you will receive a FREE stamp of your choice! I used a few copics to color her!  eek! lol  I tend to “over” color…maybe????  nah….lol

It’s an exciting time of year for the stamp and scrapbook world with CHA this weekend.  So many new stamps and products, a gal could be on the computer 24/7 looking at all the new stuff!!!!  eek! We only think we need clean sheets! (I say that because I forgot to put mine in the dryer! oops!) Tab at 7KidsCollegeFund.com has added a pre-order category for the new Stampavie stamps coming in March….lots to love in these collections!  I’ve seen some cards/projects designed by the Stampavie gals that put me in the state of “want”! lol  Take a look and come back and pre-order to your hearts content!  I’d love to hear what you like/love!   Have a great rest of the week and thanks for coming by EWH!

La-La Land Crafts Challenge #21…

This week the design team and guest designers for La-La are making “shape” cards…anything other than a rectangle or square….so take off creative people and let’s see what you can come up with! I decided to color up Happy Maya with my copic sketch markers,  cut her out and let her out of the barn! Moooo-oooh lala!  I wanted the rooster to be crowing that but the banner just didn’t fit over there and it was too late to turn the rooster around! lol  The rooster is a Tonic punch and I hand cut the hay. Bringing up Tonic makes me want to mention the paper cutters I use. “Commercial”………..I LOVE the Tonic Guillotine cutters!  The only ones for me and I have them all! Just in case you’re lookin’ for the best cutter out there!  The barn is cut three times on the Cricut, 2 red and 1 brown from the newer Everyday Paper Doll cartridge at 5.5 inches. I used a Karen Foster ribbon brad at the end of the banner.
Here’s my card for this challenge…

Happy Maya is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Neenah Classic Crest 80# card-stock. I stamped the barn with my Stampin Up Sanded background stamp and edged everything with distress ink.

The hearts on the inside are from a Stampin Up punch…very fun!  I wish I’d thought to use some nestabilities on the inside…*sigh*….always forgetting stuff! lol

happymayapwjan10

Sorry about all the pictures… I decided to take a picture of the stamps to show you how I did the words.  I used my stampamajig!  oh my,  “Commercial”  I LOVE my stampamajig!!!  do you all use one?  I could do a tutorial,  if it’s something you might like….just pictures,  I don’t have a video camera.  whew! lol

I used three stamps from Printworks. All stamped in Versafine Black Onyx ink…love this ink for just traditional stamping…a very sharp crisp image.

  • C2902 Merci (just the “m”)
  • C2873 Oooh La La
  • D2242 Laughter is the Sun (I couldn’t find this one to link it, when I do, I’ll come back and add it)

See the other designer’s creations on the La-La Land Crafts blog!  Wishing you lots of laughter!
