Bright Wishes Lili

The Ways to Use it challenge at Splitcoast stampers this week is Say it With Pizzazz.  Here is my submission.  I used my new to me Lili with a birthday cake and Printworks Bright Wishes sentiment.  My pizzazz is the birthday candles I punched from my EK Success candle border punch.  I replaced the “i” in the words with the punched candles.  I punched them in white card-stock and colored them with copic markers.

This is a matchbook gift card holder type card.  Open it up and see the envelope that I trimmed to fit and punched with a one inch circle punch.   I could not get the words to be in  focus for the inside…weird…not a good picture day for sure…she is so much better IRL!  I’ll have to take pictures again when the sun comes out…ugh!  It’s Iowa and we’ve been accused that all we talk about is the weather so I’m trying not to complain…so the positive side is,  the grass never turned brown this year!!!

Happy Card Making DAY!!!!

Inky Impressions Challenge #16

For the Inky Impressions challenge today I colored up Spunky Scooter Lili…ticket for a fun time!

Pulled out the blue violets in my copic sketch markers for a change… I like them!  Her jean shorts are the B90’s. The ticket and floral background are Hero Arts stamps. The fence is a Martha Stewart border punch. Gingham ribbon – “the stash”, the flowers are from Doodlebug. No pattern paper on this! Card-stock by Bazzill and Stampin Up…think that’s it! If you’ve gotten your hands on some Inky Impressions rubber stamps, come and join us in the challenge! We’d love to have you!

Inky Impressions…new Lili

Lili’s slumber party….we had more slumber parties in our house growing up! I don’t know how my parents could do it! In the Summer it was tents in the backyard! Running in and out of the house…oh yikes! I wasn’t good at slumber parties with our daughters!

This week at Inky Impressions Challenge blog we’re supposed to use stitiching…well, I forgot and had to take this all apart and add stitching! ugh! I decided to use a sketch from Splitcoaststampers.com – sketch challenge SC246…it was a challenge alright! lol I wanted to use this new “around the page” punch set from Martha Stewart somehow…so this is what I came up with!
The paper is from a card pad by K & Company. Lili is colored with copic markers. The sentiment stamp is from Inky Impressions also.  The couch!  It is from Diana’s store!  Hope I didn’t put you to sleep reading all this…don’t want you to miss the slumber party! ha!

INTRODUCING…. Flower Lili

So cute in her barefooted way, enjoying the day and the flowers!!!

Here’s a close up of Flower Lili, aren’t her eyes, YG95,  just gorgeous? Very easy to color…truly! I used copic sketch markers to color, N1 & 7, the R20 series and nestabilities dies to cut the shapes. A little antique linen distress ink to the edges. I better not forget to tell you, this pattern paper is from Basic Grey Scarlet’s Letter 6×6 pad.

I love using punches to embellish…the little teeny white flowers are beginning to be my “signature” addition to my cards.  Easy to make with a mouse pad and an embossing stylus. Just put the flower on the pad and push down in the center with the stylus and they turn up just how I like them!  I used the Fiskars apron punch and the Martha Stewart doily lace punch  on a band of card-stock that I placed horizontally on the card.

Leaves punched, distressed and the Martha Stewart Cosmo flower punch with a Making Memories rhinestone brad in the center finish off the punched elements.
