ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge…

love 4 You

4385436338_3de5701811_o

Our ATS Weekly Wed. challenge this week from Lesa is to use a newspaper or book page in our creation.  I have a couple old dictionaries that I love to use…see my orange puffy heart sticker  marking the LOVE definition!  cool!  I used Emma with her pumpkin wagon but I cut the pumpkin off and used the flower from a set by Cookie Crumbs.  More teeny orange puffy heart stickers in the flower centers. Emma is stamped on Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with copic sketch markers.  Blue violets,  Orange and blonde hair.  Look back in previous posts for the numbers.  I colored her in the wee hours of the a.m. today,  so I didn’t try to keep track.

  • Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6×6 paper pad
  • Martha Stewart Grass punch
  • Sizzix heart die (I did the piercing around the scallops)
  • Stampin Up tag punch and coordinating stamps (AWESOME)
  • Puffy Heart stickers from K&Co (I got mine at Impressrubberstamps.com and Walmart)
  • Silver mini brads
  • Edged with VanDyke brown ink and the ink blending tool

Thanks for stopping by to see Emma today and Lala earlier this a.m. Scroll down to see my post from yesterday about the pre-orders at 7KidsCollegeFund.com….NEW Magnolia!  So many cute stamps to color!  Time for a color-book break! lol

Another fun Challenge at All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge blog!  Christine from All That Scraps asked me a few weeks ago to join the Design Team and I was delighted to say, “yes”!  I love her stamps!  This is my third post for the team but I never know how to blurt out my exciting news! lol  Takes me a while,  I guess! lol

This week we’re following a recipe:  (glad it’s a stamps, paper, tape and scissors kind of thing!)

I inked the Otis and Milo stamp with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copic Sketch markers.  Martha Stewart’s snowfall punch around the page set for the corner and border.  Matted with Chili card-stock from Prism.

Be sure to stop by the ATS Weekly Wednesday challenge blog to say “hi” and check out the other DT gal’s creations.  We’d LOVE it if you joined us with the recipe this week!

*****You know the teeny brads I’m always using????  well…. GREAT NEWS!!!  Tab has them in the store now at 7KidsCollegeFund.com!!!!!  YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!  I love these teeny 3mm brads…just perfect everywhere,  ‘specially in the centers of flowers and in the label dies!  oh,  Thank you Tab,  now I don’t have to worry about running out! lol*****

The Challenge this week at All That Scraps Weekly Wednesday Challenge blogis to create a Tri-fold Shutter card.  There is just something about manipulating paper that draws me right in!  Love it! If you want to take a peek at my first tri-fold shutter card for one of our Grandson’s birthdays last Summer,  click here.  It’s CUTE!  Course I’m biased! lol

For my Tri-fold Shutter card with Miss Rosalie with Roses I added three pop-up/out hearts.  I haven’t seen this done anywhere and it worked out really fun…look closely and you can see them….cool.  I kept the embellishments at a minimum,  which is kinda my nature!  bah!  Quit laughing at me!  ok – there aren’t any!!!  lol  I’m counting the paper hearts…so there! lol  I love this heart punch from Stampin Up. There is a stamp set that matches the punch and I meant to get it out and stamp them before I punched,  but I forgot again! bummer…I guess I got ahead of myself! lol  The sentiment stamps are from Printworks…my all time favorite for sentiment stamps! Inked with Versafine Onyx black ink.

Sweet Miss Rosalie with Roses is stamped on Neenah Classic Crest supersmooth card-stock with Memento Tuxedo Black inkand colored with copic sketch markers (photo below).  I used my Nestabilitiesoval dies – three sizes…  Sugar Rush Basic Grey pattern paper…great stuff! I inked all the cut paper pieces with Antique Linen Distress inkand my Ink blending tool.  My scor-it board for the folds,  dug out my old Fiskars trimmer for the cuts.

Another picture, the card closed…

Leisel and her wheelbarrow

I am just lovin’ how this turned out!  Leisel for Lizzie Faith,  one of our granddaughter’s  that just turned two yesterday.  Leisel and her wheelbarrow is from CC Designs,  just the cutest thing…yep,  there’s my signature little white flowers too!  Colored with copic sketch markers. Hope she makes you smile!

This will be mounted on a piece of 6×6 wood,  edges sanded and hopefully it’ll work in a grouping on a wall in her room or playroom.

Here’s a close up and then I’m off to spend the afternoon with another granddaughter that is turning six today!  Happy Birthday Attie…hopefully I’ll post her card tomorrow! lol  I’m having fun with all this cuteness!

The fence stamp is HERE. Pattern paper is by American Crafts. The cloud background is a background stamp from Hero Arts…I’m really liking it a lot! Happy stamping to you!
