Tulips for you….

I know,  a little late…thinking the tulips are gone but hey,  that’s why paper ones are good,  they last!

Here’s my card for the Our Creative Corner challenge blog this week.

I had to take the picture w/a stamp to hold the card closed.  I cut the center out of the frame and the angel image is on the inside of the card.

New sketch challenge blog….ooooooh,  sketches can be hard!  This one was! I wanted to use some new stamps,  so of course it was fiddle until I came up with something! lol The sentiment, cloud and grid backgrounds, the circle floral wood-grain are all stamps from Hero Arts. Tilda and the ladybug are from Magnolia of Sweden, colored with copic markers. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the three butterflies. The oval and circle were both cut using Nestabilities dies.
Magnolia-licious Highlites is the new challenge blog. This is the June design team sketch….click the link for details….give it a try!Magnolia-Licious June Sketch by Kerry (3)

I love you this much!

The challenge this week on the Just Magnolia blog is Animals and Insects – please feature either/or on your card. The animal or insect does not have to be a Magnolia image – or even a stamp, it could be a die cut, a punch out, a charm, shaped button – anything as long as it is an animal or insect.IMG_2552

Well….I’m probably stretching it here because my ladybugs are pretty small…I tried to use the Magnolia ladybug but it just didn’t work out like I planned!  I used the new EK Success bug punch and they did turn out pretty cute…took a little fiddling to get them to look like something other than a punch out!

I used grass,  fern,  corner flower and stem punches from the Punch Bunch.  The yellow ric rac is from Making Memories.  Tilda is from Magnolia of Sweden and colored with copic markers.   “You are my sunshine” is from Wordsworth.  I used a rectangle nestabilities die for the background.

Here’s a close up of the flowers and bugs!IMG_2555Thanks for taking the time to check out my entry and I appreciate your encouraging words!!!

By Train & Owls

Coming to the USA!

well, it really wasn’t by train but by plane! Our newest grandson is from Ukraine! I had to make a “so glad you’re here” card for him. A delightful two year old that loves trains!!!henrystrainMartha Stewart’s wonderful train punches and the checkerboard border punch for the track. I punched five trains and glued them together to get a chipboard effect, same w/the cloud punch.

Square Nestabilities used to make the embossed frame.
