Spring Cleaning…(did I say that?!)

My card for Inky Impressions Challenge #35….

yep, that time of year… I always find myself thinking when I’m cleaning…some kind of rescue mechanism!  I end up stopping and going to do what I thought of and then who knows when getting back to cleaning….been a long pause around here! lol

I used Lili’s Cleaning Day rubber stamp from Inky Impressions Rubber Stamps…I’ll tell you a secret…ha! you probably already know!  I colored the dots on her shirt with a white signo/uniball gel pen,  let them dry and then colored right over them with the pink copics!!!  Didn’t even have to go back and wipe off the white…the dried white ink repelled the copic marker perfect and made for easy coloring!

  • Lili is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (want a discount on your Inky Impressions order? Join us at the Inky Yahoo Group for details – link to the yahoo group is on the challenge blog)
  • colored with Copic Sketch Markers
  • K &Co. pattern paper
  • Bazzill card-stock
  • Martha Stewart Spring border punch – little butterflies are from this Butterfly border punch
  • Quickutz 4×4 flower die (a bunch on here and I layered them up)
  • Sizzix leaf branch (came in a set of four,  the medium size sizzlets)
  • Sentiment from Wordsworth
  • Itty Bitty 3 mm brads by Bazzill
  • background stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms
  • EK Success oval punch for the rug

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge this week is cute and girly…well,  Lili is all of that!

Paper Take Weekly Challenge this week is “Say it with Flowers”… that’s the challenge for Inky Impressions also…using the word FLOWER

Stampavie and More Challenge this week is Flower Power

Lady Tilda for Anya…

Amanda (our middle daughter) asked me to help her come up with a birthday invitation for her daughter, Anya’s 5th birthday.  Anya wanted a tractor birthday party!!! lol  So… I said we need a pink tractor!  This is a card I’ve created before here and here and one of my favorite creations ever,  and Amanda just stuck that pink tractor in there!!!  Oh so FUN!  The party was great and I’ll post the card I made for Anya on Thursday…a different pink tractor!

Thanks for visiting my blog!  I love hearing from you!  Scroll down to yesterday’s post to see the Magnolia Chandelier strand info…new at 7KidsCollegeFund.com ….so pretty!

Masculine Birthday card…

I sponged in Memento Summer Sky ink for the water….Adirondak Latte for the top and bottom with the ink blending toolCopic Sketch Markers for all the coloring after I stamped images from Stampin Up.  The sentiment is by Wordsworth rubber stamps.  One of the blogs I subscribe to,  showed a tutorial on this, (edited to add…found the blog,  here’s the link, Crafting the Web)  although I didn’t have any of the same stamps…cool…it was fun…see the splash in the water?  Should have titled this the “one that got away”!

Nickie’s Birdie from Inky Impressions…

10

Here’s a new super cute image to color by Inky Impressions… I loved coloring Nickie’s Birdie but I have never tried so hard to get a good photo in all my card creating life!  lol   Her shoes are sure cute in red!  I still remember the pair of red shoes I had in eleventh grade…oh,  I LOVED those shoes!

Maybe this close up will show the detail a little better….I hope! ugh!

Nickie is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used the elongated rectangle nestabilities dies….I really use that size a lot…it surprises me! The border punches are from Martha Stewart, I just used the lattice part of the deep edger….pattern paper is Quite Contrary from My Minds Eye.  I made the flowers with Nellie Snellen punches.  The sentiment “a little birdie told me” is from Hero Arts.

I made this to play in the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog this week… a fun sketch,  although with just using the corner of the scallop 12×12 paper,  I had to take a little liberty with the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by ….Happy Weekend!
