Hi friends and cardmakers…a dose of Spring for you today! February brought us a new collection by Tina Smith and I’m late getting cards made and posted. Isn’t that owl cute! and the little birdies!
The options for this collection are endless! I had to make the window up with pots and plants! Our daughters and one granddaughter are really into plants…a couple friends too…so I’m sure I’ll use this card!
The whole time I was making it I wished I knew the names so I could print them on the little signs! lol
I’m not much of a plant person. I have a huge Norfolk Island Pine that I’ve had over 30 years, Boston Ferns, a Thanksgiving Cactus and a beautiful poinsettia that didn’t die after Christmas! Amazing! First time one has ever lived that long for me! lol
Back to the cards….I die cut everything and glued it up, mounted the tree and bird bath with the thin mounting tape I love.
Ink blended the background panel with my blue and green oxide brushes…I didn’t add more ink.
Stamped the sentiment but dropped the ink pad on the card so I had to add a panel on the bottom. ugh The sliver of green cardstock helped too. lol
More simple die cutting and gluing. The window in an A2 size panel, then a piece of navy cardstock behind.
I mounted the pots with my favorite thin mounting tape and stamped the sentiment with the MISTI.
So many neat sentiments in the coordinating stamp set!
Holler if you have any questions and I’ll get right back to you!

Both cards are so cute! I love all the die cuts and how you assembled them! You wouldn’t know you had to add a strip for the sentiment on the first card if you hadn’t said anything. (I’ve done that before!) It looks like you intended to add that strip! That green strip really sets it off. I love the window one too! I also am not good with plants. My sister always lets me know that I need to water them when she comes over. LOL! My neighbor gave me an orchid plant. She had two so she gave me one. We will see how long it lasts! So far, so good and it’s been 2 weeks. Still blooming!
Both cards are amazing and fun! Love the little birds and owl, but also your window and fun plants! Two great cards, Pam!
LOVE your cards today Pam! Ohhh that sweet little tiny owl in the tree!!!!!
So much fun! There are tons of possibilities with just the window set alone, and with the extras it’s endless. I looked at the bundle and it’s really not such a bad price. I wouldn’t know what to put in those tags either. The plants look kind of generic, but they’d be cute with tiny sentiments or words of any kind. Your cards are both so fabulous, Pam!
Pam these are incredible! I love the bird bath – so many beautiful elements to your cards!! The gift of knowing plant care skipped me and went from my mom to my daughters – lol! These are wonderful Pam!
Such a fun card – reminds me of our kids playing on the rope swings! Thanks for the memories!
